How to get toddler to sleep in his room.

Ever since our son was born He has always slept in our room. He now has a 9mo old brother and room and bed is getting too small. Any ideas how I can ease the 3 year old to sleep inhisown room with his younger brother of course?

i have a 6 month old and 3 year old i just started out by sitting in there with him until he fell asleep and then eventually he should feel comftertable enoupgh to sleep in there

I just put my 3 year old in his room this past Sunday as we are expecting our 2nd this winter... I must say it was hard on us both i felt so bad leaving him alone but i know its time... what i have been doing is tucking him and waiting for him to go to sleep then leaving..he wakes up and i take him back to bad and let him fall asleep and i leave again..the first night he woke up every 2 hours or so last night he woke up only twice... prior to putting him in his room he picked his own bed and helped daddy paint his new room..also i have been talking to him about it for over a month letting him know that once his room was in order he wud be sleeping in there...im going to give him some time to adjust since it was us who decided to wait so long to take him out of our room ..Good Luck

put him to bed earlier then your youngest and let him cry it out theirs no real easy way to do it and he will eventually get used to sleeping in his own room/ bed
