My son is extremely hyper. I have been around kids and babies for ever but I have never seen anyone like my son. He is constantly a busy buddy. Sad thing is, i am not even close to exagerrating (*spell). Any advice on how to calm him down a bit

I have a five year old who is extremely hyper also....I/we discipline her to be proper and not embarass me which works out mildly for the better so I put her in (tried) extracurricular activities which seem to help until she tells me (and I can see) she doesn't like it. She's been bugging me for a while to be in swimming so now I finally found a swim coach who seems to be a fit for her. She enjoys it but even the coach sees that she is extremely hyper. I still want to know of a natural fix for coming her down before she goes to swim practice so she fools around less and focuses more. I asked her teachers from everything (school, preschool, church...etc) and they all say she learns fine so they see no problem so....HELP!!!

My 5 yr old daughter is the same way! Just the thought of having to go to the grog.store makes me sick to my stomach! What's worse is that my 3 yr old daughter feeds off of it& starts acting the same way. The only thing that helps (only a little) is watching sugar intake & the processed foods. I have been thinking of getting her tested for ADHD....I would never put her on the drugs for it but try a natural remidy.

Omg!!!!! My child does the same thing. He is very hyper. If I want quiet time, I'll give him some dry macaroni shells and a few shoe strings. I've notice crafts will calm him down for a Few minutes. Try different activities that require sitting.

Yes, we have left many a place because she screams at the top of her lungs for no reason at all. I can't wait for the terrible two's to be over!

At least i am not the only one. Sometimes just going to the grocery store is horrible. Everyone stares at you as your child is a screaming maniac Lol

I have no clue, my daughter is 2 and she is the same way. She goes and goes and goes until we force her to go to bed. She will talk your ear off too! I swear the child talks more than I do!
