My 2 year old preschool class made water bottle vases. Rip small pieces of masking tape off of a roll and let the children put them all over an empty water bottle until it is covered. (Many of my kids had bottles were very lumpy and some spots a little sticky where the folded the tape over on itself, but that's okay.) Once the bottle is covered in tape, use a loofa sponge dipped in paint and let the kids stamp all over the bottle. Tie the top of the bottle with some ribbon and add flowers. We decorated our dried bottles with foam heart stickers too. The bottles turned out really cute and the parents who have gotten theirs already love them.
