We're working on potty training my 2 yr old. Problem is that when she pees it shoots straight out from her little vulva and goes on to her pants and the floor. We have tried sitting her back more, holding her legs apart and together, etc but nothing is working. Anyone else have this problem with a GIRL?

Per the suggestions above I talked to her doctor and she said this is pretty common in girls up to about age 6. It has to do with the angle of the urethra as it opens out. For some girls this opens just more straight out than others. She held open DDs labia and showed me where hers opens straight or maybe even slightly up. She did check for labia adhesion's which can also cause this but there were none (I had already checked for this).

What seems to have worked best is to have her grab her knees when she pees, which naturally aims the vulva down a bit. Also we remind her to relax and not pee with such force, but if she has to go she has to go.

Lastly she has discovered on her own that she can actually pee standing up quiet well. She just stands and leans in a bit so that the vulva opening just touches the front of the bowl. While I would not let her try this in a pubic bathroom is seems to work good for her at the moment, and she has fun with it.

Good luck!

Try using the splash guard for the potty to help keep the pee where it's supposed to be. Most likely, there's no major issue, most likely it's the natural shape of her vulva now that's the cause and doctors will be very wary of doing anything down there due to the possibility of causing long term issues, and due to the fact that this will probably resolve itself as she grows and the muscles that push the pee out strengthen. But if this remains an issue, do see your doctor who might be able to offer you a temporary solution to the problem
