Loose stools

My daughter often has quite loose stools. She goes thru stages of having normal stools to being very loose. She tends to have a BM more often.

I have taken her to the docs about it, but they were pretty unhelpful.

She hasn't eaten anything she wouldnt normally, and she seems fine in herself.

While looking up on the net found a condition called Toddlers Diarrhea, has anyone any experience with this? Any what course of action did you take?

i took my son to a new gp when we moved and found he has a lot of food sensitivities that once controlled or removed from his diet has hardened up his stools lately. He can not have any dairy and other foods have to be in small amounts or the loose stools return. Suggest asking for allergy testing when you see GP the allergies my son has was picked up in a blood test.

My daughters 4 in 2 mths, shes always had loose stools, when they hardern up its not for long, binning knickes most days, its getting too much now, tried everything, charts, health visitor , nursery rewards, thinking of taking her to gp now.

I have it with my 2yo son he has had since birth. He has an umbilical hernia and is lactose sensitive. I took him to local GP and he took a stool sample for testing and as i have heard nothing back i assume nothing showed as he usually only contacts if there is a problem. We just keep going i am trying to get him in to see the pediatrician when he comes out our way next then hopefully might find out what is going on.

I have the same issue with my toddler (for the last few months). I talked to her doctor about it and she sent her for a blood test of the common food allergens and we found out that she has a mild sensitivity to eggs. Once we eliminated them from her diet her BMs have gotten much more solid. We never caught it before because we were so focused on her lactose intolerance... Good luck!

im going threw that now. my daughters had it since august on and off. my doctor says oh its her teeth, there all in still has it, oh its normal its toddler poops, ok well she still has it, shes on the brat diet so now shes cranky on top of pooping alot. but its making it thicker now what?

We have the constipation problem and my daughter has to have Miralax every day so she doesnt get constipated. As for loose stools, I would make sure she is eating the right foods. like bananas, applesauce, oatmeal, rice, ect. stay aways from foods that make stools loose like milk, fried food, cheese, ect. hope this helps.
