Hi, I do a bit of a variation on time out. If my little boy does that I would just say 'No' firmly, take him off my lap and put him on the chair we were sitting on. Id then walk away into another room. I did this quite a few times but it worked, he doesnt bite or hit now - hes 21 months. Good luck!

Mine did the same thing... right at about 16 months... at first we thought it was funny, but then it became an issue, and you definitely have to nip it in the butt now. Every time she would slap someone in the face we put her in time out. Just picked her up and stood her facing the wall. Told her firmly and loudly NO HITTING, you can't leave them in time out for more than about a min at that age, but it gets the point across if you're consistant about it. She stopped about a month or so after we started this process.
