You may also want to try putting a humidifier in her room. I put one in my kids rooms because my son is asthmatic and it helps a lot. ALso with the vicks you have to be careful and it is best to put in on babys feet. it really helps not sure why but it does.

Thank you! I talked to a nurse and she said her cough is worse at night because she is laying down.. I just hate seeing her so miserable, breaks my heart!! Im going to try the vicks vapor rub tonight!

I use a little vicks vapour rub on my son's chest and back when he's stuffed up and coughing at night, I also melt a bit in some boiling water and put it somewhere WELL OUT OF REACH just incase he gets up in the night, it helps him breathe and makes the room smell lovely too lol.
If you don't want to leave hot water in the room overnight, try a steamy bath before bed, fill the bathroom with steam before you run the bath then they won't end up with scorching water.
