My Big boy still having accidents with number two !

My three year n a half year old is still having accidents in his pants . Daycare has raised concerns and I am worried that come September he is in jf kinder garden . I am hoping he will stop by then. I've tried a chart of stickers , treats , taking toys away /tv/ treats and also teaching him to clean his underwear after accidents with out making it a bad thing just a clean up responsible thing (as to pampers advice ) . Any more tips perhaps ?

My biggest concern is that school starts in September and by jan -feb I will be returning to work . My husband and I cannot afford to be leaving work three times a week or even once a week to go to the school to clean him up . It would take at least an hour of time off work and im afraid we would lose are job with that kinda routine of leaving work so often .. The school will not tolerate this and does nothing we as parents need to go clean him up. So if by jan-feb if he is still doing this I will have to consider pulling him out till the next year . Im lost and dont know what else to do . Put him back in pull ups and go backwards and let him poo and pee in them when school starts ...that im afraid may not work cause he is still learning how to clean himself

I had the same issue with my oldest until he was about 7. It didn't happen often and it would be a whole poop, just enough that you knew it was more then just not wiping properly. I did everything that you're doing, plus he went to the doctor numerous times to see if there was a medical reason. The only thing that worked with him was time.

Will try all of this thanks :) hoping it will be a thing of the past soon :) school starts very soon ..hope my big boy gets even bigger ie . no more accidents

I had the same issue with my daughter. She eventually started to go on the potty when I stopped making such a big deal out of her accidents. I believe it was really the only thing she had total control over. Be patient. Your son will get it sooner or later.

Its weird but my son gets a kick out of it. When he goes "stinky" in his pull up I dump it into the toilet and I let him flush and say bye bye to it. This way he knows where it supposed to go.

I am afraid there are a lot of boys that do this. You seem to be doing the right things so it is now down to him. Make a big thing of no dirty pants when he goes the whole day without soiling his pants. Say what a big boy he is now and isn't it nice to be clean. Go overboard and praise him lots. Just remember though that accidents can happen up to a year after toilet training. Some little guys just take a lot longer than others. Infuriating I know but one of those things.

When he goes to the toilet get him to sit for a while after he pees. Maybe give him books to read too. Is he comfy on the toilet? Kids need to have their feet up which makes pooing easier so maybe use a foot stool? Ohterwise sounds like your doing all the right stuff just keep it positive :)
