My daughter wont poop in the potty

my three year old was the same would not poop on the potty or toilet ring would ask to put a pull up on to poop.then i got him to sit and try the potty.i told him he had to make room for the other food.and it took that once to go and now no fuss no muss.hope this helps.

Sounds funny, but I bought Huggies CleanTeam soap (that lights up).  My son was fascinated with the soap and wanted to wash his hands ALL THE TIME!  I only let him use the soap when he pooped on the potty.  A couple of times he tried to make himself go just to use the soap!  Now that he is consistent, he uses the soap every time he goes to the bathroom.  Good Luck!

Our son was the same -- he'd hold till he had his nightime diaper on and then go. A few days on a very rich fibre diet and he couldn't hold it all day and gave in and went on the potty (we used a toliet ring) --he then realized it wasn't a big deal. One of my friends son wouldn't use the potty- and was fine with pooping in his pants -- she started using chilled wipes to clean him up (not pleasant) and another friend put her poopy son in the tub, handed him a rag and told him to clean himself up and that was the end of the poop on the potty fight --messy but effective

here is something i have tried alot of chldren are afraid of the toilet peeing is easy... but pooping takes time this is how i got my son topp in the tolet ....don't laugh but it worked... grab a bowl a bowl you dont used for anything almost like a potty near by her ... and keeping asking or telling herr time to poop? she wil ansswer ... keep on top of it and eventually she will go all alone in the ol then toliet.... my daughter used to hold her poo and ran into closets because she was scared to poo.... it's normal.... tell herr undie time...and potty poopoing lol you will know when she is ready.... i have done it with all 3 of mine my baby boy the 4 one is almost time to start,.

we do use the toilet ring which we have to carry everywhere...she wont go unless she has that. So with the pooping we are just kinda letting it run its course...really dont know what to do

may sound silly but do you use potty or tollet if you use toilet put toillet paooer in befor as some children hate the splash when they go

I have a daughter who will be three in March, and is driving me and her Grandma nuts!!!! she can have a dry bum for days, but does not want to poop on the potty either!!! Good idea Yvonne with the big toilet seat, I think I might try that today.

She doesn't get that as soon as she's potty trained the world is her oyster!!! Hockey games with Grandpa, new "jewels" from the dollar store, the possibilities are endless!!!

I have 3 daughters (7, 6, and 17 mos) The 7 & 6 yr olds never pooped in the potty chair either. I found that they liked the little seats that go on top of a regular toilet. I don't know why but they would fight me and do the sneaky poop in pull-ups at naptime or would even poop in their underpants. After we got the seats, they both were very eager to poop in the potty like "big girls". I don't know if they had problems with seeing it in the little potty chairs or what but they enjoyed flushing the poopy and peepee "bye-bye". Hope this helps.

maybe you should buy a ring for the toilet along with a step, and encourage how 'big' and 'clever' they are using the step and toilet like mummy and daddy do... worth a try, my son is 2 and starting to wee on the toilet(not potty which he thinks is for babys! lol) good luck!

my daughter turned 3 yesterday and has little interest in the potty unless we ask her to go, then SOMETIMES she'll pee in there. but mine wont poop in it either. this morning, she pooped in her pullup, refusing to go to the potty, even though she was tooting a lot and i knew she needed to go. then, she ran in her room. she was gone for about all of 30 seconds and i went to check on her .... WELL! ... she didn't want to use the potty, yet she doesn't like the sensation of sitting in her poop either. So, she tried to take the poop out of her pullup. There was poop all over her fingers/hands, some that fell all over her floor, and she stepped in what fell on her floor, and it was all down her legs. What a mess!

I am in the same boat as you, but worse I think. At least yours will pee in the pot!

And everyone was telling me that girls are supposed to be easier to train! :s LoL

I don't know what to do either :(
