Since he's one, he may be teething, which has a major impact on the appetite. When my daughter would teeth, I would give her her favorite foods and she wouldn't even touch them. When I asked the Dr about it, the Dr explained about the teething affecting the appetite. The Dr also told me to just be sure that the child is drinking plenty of liquids, and continues to have a normal amount of wet diapers.

He probably just doesn't need as much food at this time. He will soon hit another growth spurt and eat more than you think he should be able to fit in is little tummy. Unless he starts to lose weight I wouldn't worry too much about it. Offer healthy food during meal and snack time and he will eat what his body needs. He may also be learning some independence and h as figured out that you can' t force him to eat so he is holding out.

I have gone through somewhat of the same thing. My 2 year old son refuses food sometimes and it drives me crazy. I asked my doctor and she told me that kids will never go hungry. If they don't eat it now...they will eat when they are. It can be very frustrating but they eventually do eat. All you have to keep doing i putting good food in front of him. As long as it is consistantly being offered, he will eat it on his own terms.
My son is very very picky with what he eats so i supplement Pediasure milk drinks twice a day. He loves them and I know that he is gettig the vitamins and minerals that he doesn't get from his food. But I always offer healthy food on his plate. I hope this helped a little bit. Good luck
