My two yr old son has been waking up with a hard on and he says" My pee pee hurts" and he won't let me put his diaper on until it goes down. I just try to change the subject to get his mind off of it and that usually helps. However, the other day he said "it hurts mommy, kiss it."......awwwww....No. I told him "No we don't kiss our pee pees., nobody kisses our pee pees"

HELP!!! Has anyone with little boys experienced this??

You may also try cutting fluids out an hour or so before bedtime. When he wakes he probably has been holding all he drank before he went to bed. Also make sure he goes potty right before bed to get out as much as possible. I have found that both of these small changes helps and there are a lot less mornings where this is happening.

Quoting Deanna:

I know that with my boys, when they were babies, their pee pee would be up if they had to pee (That's how I knew to cover it back up when changing the diaper). But, I'm not sure why it would hurt. You may have to talk with a his pediatrician. Maybe he has a bladder infection? I don't know what to tell you other than to ask his doctor. I hope this was some help.

Thanks Deanna. I remember that would happen to my son when he was an infant but this is different. its not throughout the day, only in the morning so that's why it didn't really alram me to bring him to the dr.  But maybe I should try to put him on the potty chair in the morning.

Have a good day.

Quoting Andrea:

I noticed your son is 2 1/2 and prob toilet trainning so when he says it hurts tack him to the toilet and tell him to pee to make it better. My son went to the same thing he would hold it in too much and his little bladder just made every thing stand up it perfectly norm thing todo and for him asking you to kiss it better hahahah lol that is just so funny/gross. Just to be on the safe side I have herd of some little boys forskin being to small/tight to handle to size of the stiffness and the skin act cracks so it might just pay to have a good look at it when it happens for any redness/cracks also the other thing is if it happens alot during the day maybe a urine infection might be there and stinging may have that same result.. I hope i have helped.

Hi Andrea, thanks for the response. I think i will have his dr check it out. The thing is he only says it hurts when he wakes up in the morning and the rest of the day he's fine. So, i didn't think too much of it being an inf or anything. It made me laugh when he told me to kiss it but at the same time its gross!!  he is starting to potty train but still wearing diapers. I will try to put him on the potty chair in the mornign maybe that will help.

thanks!
