Need help getting my 1 year to sleep through the night. We already stuff him before bed.

We already stuff him with food plus a six ounce bottle still before bed. He goes down around 8, by 2 am he is back up and crying. We gave him water and he will still cry it out for about an hour before going back to sleep. We have music running, a heart beat pumping, and patting his back nothing is working. He shares his room with his older brother so I am reluctant to let him just to cry it out in fear that he will wake up his brother.

Mine was 14 months before she started to STTN on a regular basis. It sucked, it's not fun, and trust me I know. We tried EVERYTHING excpet CIO because I just couldn't bring myself to do a cry-it-out. I finally decided to combine a bunch of things and it worked, it took less then a week before she was STTN and going to bed really easy...

Started with a WARM bottle of milk. Put her down, rubbed her back for just a second and made sure she laid down, said good night and I love you and walked out. I would stand on the other side of her door because I knew she would start crying immediately. So for the first night, I'd walk out, she'd cry, I'd walk back in, put my hand on her back, get her to lay back down and say "Goodnight". I'd walk out again until she cried again. Each time I went back in I would let her cry for just a few seconds longer then the time before. I was in 25x the first night but it was really still under an hour and a half. The next night it was only 15x and the numbers just kept going down. By the 5th night I was only in there again 2x. Somehow it also made her STTN, which was wonderful. We also had the white noise machine on for her- and a dark room. She seemed to like the train noise the best. Good luck!!!!!

Did you try feeding him again? It might be gas or it can be that hes teething? If feeding him dont work then try rubbing his belly for gas. If those dont work try giving him orajel on his gums?? If those dont work then try to just comfort him. And tell him its ok mommys here ya know? It very stressful not knowing what ur 1 year old needs. Hope this helps?

hi ya im 18 have 2 kids since they where both born iv bath creamed then bottle bed, i still do it with my 2 year old she has dinner then bath then snake and warm milk then story and then bed i do the same with my 17week old he has his baby food then about half hour later he has a bath cream him then cuddle bottle bed he goes down for at least 7hours befor he wakes for another bottle my 2year old goes to bed between half 6 and half 7 no later then she dont wake till about 8 u should also try to cut out naps if he needs 1 try let him have it early around 11 only for an hour hope it work remember u have to do it every night and it might not work striaght away may take a week or so but it should help good luck xx

maybe hes going to bed to early try putting him to bed a little later that way he wont wake up at 2 am. and if he does wake up have you tried rocking him back to sleep or tickling him or playing with his hair.
