My 14 month old is having trouble going from baby food to regular food, she seems to have texture issues and gags on new foods. any tips?

My son ate things like Gerber graduate crunchies and the puffs, cheerios, and Kix for some hard snacks. I would give him pretty much what we were having most of the time. My son isn't a very picky eater though, he eats any type of vegetable/fruit i put in front of him. I would suggest just keep trying new foods...just because she gags ther first couple times doesnt mean she doesn't like it. She may just have to get use to the texture.

Loads of fun lol My daughter likes just about anything that you put in front of her, but if it's like those stupid "Crunch Berries" cereal she starts gagging on it. My son only has a prblem with eating ground beef and is lactose intolerant but will eat just about anything else lol Gotta love kids and their love of chicken nuggets lol

She has 8 teeth. She likes the harder stuff, gags on the soft stuff. Aren't kids fun?! :)

How many teeth does she have? My 10 month old daughter has 2 teeth and only gags on foods that are too hard, like cereals that are tightly packed little balls and ones that are too thin & crispy. You could try giving her softer foods, like bananas, and work your way up to the harder foods.
