Need some ideas of activities to do with an 18 month old

My daughter is 18 months and loves to play, we color, build with blocks, make food, kick balls, throw balls, read, clean, and play outside with sidewalk chalk. She loves being outside and walking to the park, too. I'm just trying to get some more ideas on what to play with her, it seems we play the same old, same old things. Flash cards, reading books, chalk, coloring, drawing, physical activities and so on...so what do your kids like to play? I want her to be able to learn from the activities (which isn't hard for her age group) Thanks in advance!

Thank you! What great websites! I have certain toys out and I put away a lot just for the times when she seems bored. She loves the one wooden puzzle she has, but she mastered it the day I got it, so I need some new ones. The latest thing is feeding her dolls/teddy bears and that usually keeps her busy until the doll is full. I need to get her some play food! She would love that!

I think the trick is to vary what toys and activities are readily available, as in don't have EVERYTHING out with free access at all times. eg. If you only bring the playdough out a couple of times a week, it will be much more appealing and hold interest for longer than if it's there every day.

My 20 month old son loves drawing, reading books, watching Wiggles and Playschool dvd's, playing in sand (using a little spade to dig and fill a bucket so we can make castles- then collecting sticks, leaves etc to decorate it), chalk, playdough, wooden puzzles (he needs help with these but still loves them), imaginative play is a big thing with him now - play food, toy kitchen, toy animals, puppets etc, 'hanging' clothes on the clothes rack (a basket of clothes keeps him entertained for a fair while!), going on the swing, collecting rocks, singing songs etc.
