night time tantrums after weaning

hi
i recently weaned my 19 months old son, its been a week n half n he has completely stopped asking for my milk. going to sleep is a tough job but atleast there r no tears involved thanks to the routine that he had before, now just that the routine of story reading or listening to rhymes will stretch for hours before he wud finally doze but when he gets up in the nite v land up having a terrible meltdown, nothing that i wud say or offer wud pacify him. is there anything that i can do to help him to sleep through the nite n not to have atleast these kinds of meltdowns.

women are hesitate to help with this kinds of questions, because there is no right answers. Is it because he's hungry? Having a power struggle and winning? or scared of the dark? Anything can cause children to behave this way. Just be consistent with your rountine and he will relearn it or you can just keep trying new things until he seems content again. I had to re-do my schedule/rountine several times before it worked for me and my daughter. Good luck.
