He's 2, it will pass, frustrating though it is in the short term. He won't starve himself, don't push the food as he's more likely to say no, just offer it and he can take it or leave it. (Assuming it's not a long term thing, he's not losing weight and looking listless and sick)

How about giving him choices? My daughter just turned two and is very much into the "no" phase. If I want her to get dressed I give her a choice of two outfits or I just let her pick it out. When it's time to pick up I say "are you going to pick up your dolls or your blocks".

As far as eating all kids go through phases, they will eat when they are hungry they aren't going to starve to death. Just try to hit at least one of each food group at some point throughout the day and talk to your doctor about supplementing with a multi vitamin.

yeah i was told by my daughters doctor that it is normal for a toddler to go through stages like this...try pedialite for the missed foods and just do what you can what we do is give her her food when she says she doesn't like it we tell her "fine go sit on the couch no playing no tv" she sits there for a bit she gets hungry again we point back to her plate we don't give her anything different and she does eventually eat her food. its a small battle but she does eat..sometimes if it get to be to much she just goes to bed no food we did try and feed her she just chose to not eat.
