try half juice /half water ... sorry that will be the only way he could have juice. Until he start drinking water. sometimes you have to become the boss not the mommy.

I use water with a drop of food coloring in it and call it vitimen water. Works everytime! :)

Pears help my son poop! Also, my just 3 yr old would love to carry a zippy cup of milk around, but I just decided that he has to drink at the table with a regular cup and give him more choice of drinks and a cool water bottle!

My daughter drinks what I drink... If I am drinking water she will... She also likes to eat the ice from the water... and try getting water from a fast food place the cool cup and straw sometimes makes a huge difference... good luck

Prune juice or cranberry juice mixed with water. Do not give too much cheese that assists in constipation... Give him 3/4 water and a little bit of juice. Or a couple drops of food coloring, couple drops of lemon, sometimes bribing works... If he drinks some water he can have some juice then...

Does he get enough fiber in his diet?

My son got hooked on juice 50/50 so I started giving him a choice of either drinking water or milk. I figured either way it was better than a 50/50 juice drink. Half the time he real is thirsty and asks for H2O over the milk.

In the evenings he has started stalling his bed time asking for water or milk, then i give him the option of water or water and if he is actually thirsty he asks for water. Now he knows that at bed time he gets water not juice or milk so he doesn't really ask for it anymore.

I've found a nice chilled jug of water from the fridge when I'm sure he hasn't had a drink for about 2 hours, poured into my son's beaker after he has eaten, goes down much easier than water straight from the tap.

I liked the ice water idea as well, kids love ice and cold drinks!

If he was thirsty then he would drink what was given to him, but you could start with propel water its lightly flavored, and then give juice in the morning.

my son is the same way what you have to do is put some sugar in the water or some Karo syrup in his water.... You can also try giving him some pear juice. Now I can just give my son water and he will drink it. At nite you can give him milk and Benefiber (not a lot he will be boo boo all day) and in the morning he will boo boo.

We did as some of the other moms suggested. Just a little bit of juice in the bottom of her cup and fill the rest with water. Then in the afternoon just water. worked like a charm

I don't give my daughter juice. Occasionally, I give her some of the Sun-Rype Fruits plus Veggies juice but she is 17 months old and since she started drinking a bit of water 6 months, I have pretty much just kept it at water. And she started drinking from an adult cup at 12 months so I just leave her glass of water on the coffee table all day and she comes and drinks it as she pleases and I usually have to refill it 2 or 3 times a day (it's a small glass). So I think if he is thirsty and doesn't have the juice option, then he will drink water.

try putting the water in a clear cup, then putting a lemon or a lime wedge in it.. it flavors the water and it adds some color and fun to it!!!

let him pick out a special cup or bottle just for water. I got some cute little ones with a flip top spout like a sports bottle and both my boys will drink water like crazy now. They carry it around all day sipping on it and by the end of the day I've usually refilled it 3 times. You could also mix a splash of juice in (3/4 water, 1/4 juice) so it tastes better.

My daughter was like that for a while....I would give her flavored water you have to read the labels some do have sugar but there are ones that have nothing just like water.
