My son (2 yo) just got his cast off after 3 weeks. He has a toddler's fracture that is mostly healed now. The nurse practitioner told us to avoid any rigorous activities (anything where he would be jumping, falling, etc) for 3 weeks, but that he should heal just fine.

He doesn't want to walk on it yet, which is understandable, he hasn't had to use that leg in almost a month, but I'm wondering how long did it take for your son/daughter to be comfortable walking after a Toddler's fracture?

My kids have never had a fracture (only stitches and staples), but I fractured my ankle last winter and I wasn't comfortable walking on it for over a month, anytime I put a little pressure on it ..it felt like it was going to snap so I was scared to put pressure on it. Your son may feel that same feeling I did so he doesnt want to walk on it. I hope he heals up ok.
