How do you get a child to stop crying if you walk away for 5 seconds? My son always wants to be near mommie, even when I am in the shower, He will cry unless I am right there.

I don't know my son is the same way he's 2 and a 1/2. It makes me feel so bad when I leave. If I leave for work before he wakes up and my husband is gets him up in the morning he asks "where's mommy?" I think it's just a phase. To them we are everything that makes them safe and secure. It can be exhausting sometimes but some day when they're teenagers we will look back and remember back to when they needed and liked us.
