My daughter who is 2 loves music so I am always on the lookout for new music that is appropriate. One is called the Magic of Think and is done by a voiceover artist but is about building self esteem and I think it has a great message. http://bit.ly/12ya5A

The other one is some great music to move and dance to. http://bit.ly/37C8jC

My daughter makes instruments out of everything. We've also bought her some toy drums and then I have real bongos and a djembe that I let her play with too.
I do like to have some kid's music though for her to dance around to because there is too much stuff that is inappropriate (including what I listen to) so I like having some options. :)

The best music for toddlers is music!!! Toddlers love rhythmic sounds whether it be strumming fingers on a table or putting on a cd. They especially love being sung to. I have always made up ditties for my kids and my grand kids. I can't remember them all but that is irrelevent. Every new day may bring a new thought. Toddlers don't even care if it doesn't rhyme. They'll still enjoy the interaction plus the music.

Only thing I don't like for toddlers is really loud music with bad language.

My motto there would be "Mellow is the way to go" .. have fun experimenting with music. Maybe get different things around you like lids, spoons, leaves, rice etc etc and make instruments with them.
