Talking at 22 months

Riley is 22 months now, he's fully potty trainned during the day and understands everything im saying to him yet wont talk. He can say eeese (cheese) and eef (teeth) anything with eee's sounds in he can say. If you say to him whats a lion, tiger, snake, cow n doggy do he can do the noise and action and he can point to alot on his body but he wont talk he just makes aa aa noises sounds like sweep from sooty n sweep n its starting to make me wonder if he will EVER talk! x

My oldest didn't say more than 5 words until we finally had her examined by Early Intervention at about 34 months. Within 6 weeks, she was talking up a storm. She had never seen the need to talk as she had people waiting on her hand and foot (she was the only grandchild on either side and I stay at home), but once she got started, she took off. I would call Early Intervention (or whatever it's called in your area - do you live in the US?) and have them test him. My daughter loved going to speech classes and my only regret was not doing it sooner :)
