What kind of trikes do you recommend for a big 2 and a half year old. I want to get my son a trike but he is so big I don't want to get one that won't last very long. He is 3 feet tall and about 35 -36 pounds. i'm almost tempted to get him a regular bike with training wheels. Any suggestions?

my big 2.5 yr old also 3 foot or more by now has a trike that he learnt to peddal on and hes getting a bike with training wheels for xmas, maybe get one of those converting ones that goes from push around to trike to bike?

My daughter is 3.5 and when she was that age I got her a trike. She is afraid to ride her bike, I don't know why.......But she's been riding that trike since she was 2.5 and she weighs 36lbs. It's a nice sturdy one. It's really up to you. Why don't you just take him shopping and see what suits him better?
