my son is almost 19 months old and hes not really talking, hes more or less just saying words. when do they start putting sentences together? but on a side note hes very smart if you tell him to do something he does it or if he wants something he knows right where to go.

but i just wanted to know when other moms kids started talking?

My little girl is 2 years and 8 months and only now is she picking up words... we'll have to wait a while I guess before she'l be talking in sentences. It is a bit worrying for me but I know she will talk eventually

It was a little after my daughter turned 2 that she started putting any phrases together. She had a lot of words before that, just only used them individually. Once they start, they never stop talking!

My niece didn't start talking until she was 2 and it was in complete sentences. My daughter on the other hand started earlier with simpler words. Don't worry, it just depends on the child.

my son is 26 months and is just now starting to put 3 or 4 words together (and it literally began overnight) one day he was only saying one word (hard to understand) and the next he was clearer and sentences

He will probably start putting sentences together around 2 to 2 1/2, sometimes kids don't put sentences together until they are 3. Every child progresses at their own rate. Keep working with him, reading to him, and try to get him to say two word sentences. Then once he gets that down, move onto 3 word sentences. One thing at a time Mama.

my son, said only a few words at 18 months, then about 100 words by two, and only started to put 3 word sentences between 2-2.5 years old.

My son barely said anything until about 18-20mths. He turned 2 a couple of weeks ago and he's only now starting to put 3 words together. He babbles on about a hundred words in his own language, nodding, smiling and pointing, who knows what he's saying hehehe.

My daughter turned 2 in Aug and that is about the time she started talking in sentences. I think the first one she said was come on mama. Now she can say a bunch.
