My son is 17 month old and he was born a month early. He looks smaller than kids his age he doesn't have as much teeth and he still doesn't talk, or even say words of any kind except mom and dad... even when it comes to his food he still wants the jar food, mostly the really mushed ones. I don't know what to cook for him and I really want him to stop the jar food. Help!!

the internet is the best source of childrens recipes for all ages.... google young child recipes... You'll not know what to do with yourself when you see all the results!

I would steam some veggies, even mash them up...You can easily make your own version of jar foods...Also, introduce pasta and other soft foods. Maybe if you let him feed himself, he may like to eat foods like green beans that he can hold easily...

Pasta, cheerios, mum mum's, Cream soups are my kids favorites with animal shaped sandwiches!
