My 2 year old son constantly will hit another child in the house hold or myself then run up and give them a hug or a kiss, what can I do to stop him?

Thank you Chequita. :) I have tried the nap thing before he just gets up in rare form about an hour later or so and as he hits some one he laughs about it.but i will see if taking him out works. :)

my 16 month old does this as well. ive heard that young kids this age dnt hit maliciously they do it out of frustration or just mimicking other behaviors..mine picked it up from his older sister and he was just doin it because he saw it being done. just let him know when he does it that its not okay to do so.. i usually try to redirect his attention to something else or if that doesnt work maybe put him down 4 a nap if he is tired..but if all else fails take him outside 4 awhile and let him get a change of scenery 4 a few minutes it may take his mind off of the hitting 4 awhile
