My son is 2.5 years old. He has been watching movies for awhile now but Im looking to introduce some others to him instead of the same 3 (Cars, Nemo, and Kung Fu Panda) movies all the time. Basically, Im looking for suggestions on what he may like.

So what does your toddler enjoy watching?

My 3 year old daughter's favorite movies are Chicken Run, Monsters Inc., and Elmo's adventures in Grouchland. I've tried the older Disney movies like Cinderella and other childhood favorites of mine, only for her to deny them. She seems to like the newer movies.

I have 2.5 twin boys and they love their movies. They only get to watch them while I'm making dinner to wind down in the evening and maybe after a long day out and about on Saturdays, we'll cozy up and watch one of their favorites. They LOVE Ice Age, Cars is a big favorite of theirs too, and anything that has Elmo in it certainly goes over well, too! The new "How to Train Your Dragon" was a hit with them, and they also request Toy Story because they adore Buzz Lightyear! Good luck and hope it helps!

Please do some research on the effects of tv/movies on children before you do this...there are a lot of studies out about how it affects their concentration and learning centers in thier brains.

Signing Time, Baby Einsteins, my son is 18 months and we watch bollywood movies and he always runs in when they are dancing and singing. He and my 4 year old daughter also like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers [old black and white movies]. Even some disneys, I don't approve of some of the content. But they both enjoy the radio more than flicks.

My daughters ultimate favorite movie is The Cat Returns. We ONLY watch it in the car (since she HATES car rides), so it's her special treat to get through the errands. (It's a DVD player that I bought and installed so she can see it, while rear facing). Outside of that, she's not very fond of any other movies.

if you live near a "Family Video" they do kids movies for free. you don't have to rent a regular movie, you just go in give them your info and voila! also netflix is an option to try new movies before buying. you can watch different videos on different computers, wii, xbox 360 etc all form the same account.

My kids are into all sorts. Of course they love anything Disney / Pixar, but the one's I never thought they'd never pester me for? Transformers 1+2. My husband had been watching it while our son (2yrs) was napping and I was out with our daughter (4yrs). When we got home Daddy and Devon were sat on the couch shouting at the robots and my daughter shouted 'cool!cars!' and ran to sit with them, and now whenever I ask about films they're the ones requested. Also got them watching The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. Bit dark at times but they love the goblins and faries and stuff. :)

my daughter is 17 months and she loves casper meets wendy. not the one with all the curse words. she loves madagascar, the carebears big wish movie, how to train your dragon, shrek, alice in wonderland the newest movie, she loves all the barbie movies which are more for girls but i have seen a lot of little boys that watch them. the lion king, george shrinks, little bear, there are all kinds of movies out there. i have found that the best way to find new movies that they like is to rent them from a local movie store. that way if they dont like them then you didnt spend the money to buy it. goodluck!

Babe and they really like Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure. Yes, I have boys, but they really like that Tinkerbell movie -- it's pretty gender neutral.
