What the best way to potty train a boy and switch him over to his day bed?

Hi. My 2 yr old son (gonna be 3 in feb) is having troubles with Potty training and getting switched over ti his day bed. any advice would be helpful! thanks :D

the potty training im just using regular dippers i put him on the potty every 30 min but he still hasn't goes in his actual toilet. The Day bed is a Toddler bed. It has rails on it so he cant fall out but for some reason he refuses to sleep it in .

What are you doing in terms of the potty training? How far have you got? Do you use pant or pull ups? And what is a day bed??
