My 2 year old wakes up a few times during the night crying. It sounds like she is in pain. Have taken her to doctors. Got no answers. Could it be growing pains? Any ideas why my 2 year old is crying in her sleep?

What should a mom do when a two year old hits and throws things sometimes. Is either perfect or very honors. How do you discipline when they really act up

It is funny that you mention this issue my Daughter is 2 years of age as well and she does the same thing I recently asked her what was wrong and she told me it was a bad dream. So now I pray over her before she goes to sleep (because I am religious) and I also reassure her that everything is okay and that Mommy and Daddy will protect her, she will lay there wide awake for a while then she will soon fall back to sleep.

My 4 year old does this and along with other symptoms she came to tell me she was getting touched by her uncle when she visited her father. I dont mean to scare anyone but anything is possible. I wish tue best of luck to everyone.

It sounds like your 2yr old is having what some people call night terrors. It is like a bad dream but more consistent and they can't recall what they were afraid of just that they are scared or upset. My oldest went through this a lot but not from 2 that I recall but I have heard of some children starting as young as 2. I could be growing pains try a little lavender rubbed into her legs before sleep it will relax her muscles and also soothe her sleep. I can't think of much else to tell you hon if it persists i would try changing drs till you get someone who takes you seriously depending on how long this has been going on for.

Does she do this every night? :( It's most likely night terrors. My daughter went through this too, and still did at age 3. It finally subsided just before she turned 4.. If she had a rough day, maybe its stress??? I thought this too with my daughter, she's very moody and sensitive, so if she had a bad day, we noticed the night screaming was worse than a good day eve. We just talked to her about her day before bed to see if there was anyting she wanted to talk about, and let her know we loved her and that tomorrow would be a better more positive day....and discuss exciting/happy things we could do the next day so she'd go to bed with happy thoughts of tomorrow. :) best of luck, it's a tough phase.

some times they have night terrors my little girl does it on and off as well. your 2 year old could be crying in her sleep because of wind passing thru her system. my son is 4 and still on and off crys out but he wakes up and crawls into bed with me. i ask him and he says 'yes ,not nice sleep' or 'my legs hurt'. unfortunatly there is no rel cure for night terrors -which is when they stay asleep- or growing pains .i only give childrens panadol or nurofen to eather of my kids if it is a constant thing -ie 3-4 nights for my 4 yr old or very early morning say 4 am if my 9 month old hasnt been having very good sleep.( saves for the sanity as well) but it is very rarly as i say.
