You're not alone. Here's a safe place, a growing place, a way out of the shadows of grief . . . This blog provides resources and Biblical direction for helping you trust Jesus through one of life's most difficult challenges.I maintain this blog out of gratitude to the Lord for how He pulled me through such a dark time in my own life. I was widowed the day before my 44th birthday when my husband died instantly of a brain aneurysm. I had three teenagers and a lifetime ahead of me, but I sure didn't want it without Bruce! Being a widow was a total shock! God pulled me through with encouragement, role models and hope from the Bible. I've since remarried, but I've found that most women share one big fear--being widowed. I hope this blog can provide a great community to help us all, and that many may be able to someday look back and see God's loving faithfulness, good intent and plan for their life.

I'm the wife of a sweet man I fell for at 21 years old & love more deeply every day. I'm an ex Nanny & childcare provider. I worked side by side with my husband, Mark in daycare for over 20 years. He now works outside the home. He is also a part time musician, playing sax & singing in local bands. I'm the Mom of three kids. Beau 15 years old, he keeps me grounded with his great outlook on life and sense of humor. Teale, 12 years old, she keeps me busy and always guessing. I call her Enigma. She has many issues from a severe brain injury at birth. Gwenn, 8 years old, she is my most outwardly loving child and can be very strong willed too. I also have MIL, who moved in with us this last fall. She adds a whole different challenge to my life. I enjoy many things but often my life is kids, MIL & housework.
