We have 2 daughters, one adopted internationally from China (Nellie, 5) and one adopted domestically from just down the road (Audrey, 2). Both have been completely different adoption experiences, but have blessed us with two amazing girls! We draw lots of attention whenever we go out--white parents with Chinese and African American children...

Kelly, glad we're not the only ones who get "the look". The best was a repairman who came to the house and thought we were running a daycare!

Hi Michelle - hadto laugh at the comments of drawing attention. I'm a single parent who adopted domestically..one is of East Indian heritage and the other is African American. Yes, I have seen the stares and have heard at least some of the comments...haha. My favorite is "the look" and then the question..."are they related?"..........Depending on the situation I simply answer "yes" or sometimes I say "they sure fight like brother and sister. So they must be...." Hope you enjoy you two girls........
