Motion Sickness

[deleted account] ( 3 moms have responded )

We've tried everything! Pills, no pills, eating, no eating. Nothing works. Thank God for ziploc bags -they get us through every situation. Good thing my daughters are good troopers about it. It used to be plane, train, subway, bus, car. Now it's only the plane and car that seems to upset them (10 & 12 years). Any suggestions?

Hi Cynthia. I always had motion sickness as a child in the car or boat. Some suggestions that helped me was to sit in the front seat of the car and watch the white line (focusing on something helped). I also had travel wrist bands. You can buy them from a chemist. They were very good especially on a boat. I eventually grew out of getting sick sometime in my teens though so fingers crossed for your children too. Kylie
