Not sure I know where to start. I am seeing my regular OBGYN and the high risk preg. dr every two weeks. They put me on modified bed rest at 14 weeks and said I could get up to go to the bathroom. That is not really happening. There is so much to do and I am not even doing housework. I feel fine other then the muscles in my lower abs and into my legs are really sore. Do you think this is the reason for the bed rest so early? I think I have been a bad girl, but I am really trying to take it easy. They said full bed rest at 20 weeks. Is that not a little early? How do I get lunch etc if I am home alone and on bed rest? What do you do?

I haven't gained any weight yet and it worries my, but the Dr doesn't seem to be worried. What have your experience been with this at 17 weeks? I am pretty average in size, I guess the babies are growing ok. I eat when I am hungry and I drink lots of water - I am always thirsty.

When do you feel them move around? I am excited about this. I have more questions, but I will space them out a bit.

Your job is to take care of yourself and your babies. So, if the doctor says bed rest, you need to adhere to that. I know it's easier said than done, but you have the ability to give your babies the best start in life. The longer you can carry them, the better. I had a hard time gaining weight, first I was sick the first trimester and then I just couldn't eat enough calories. However, as I was checked, about every 2-3 weeks, the babies would continue to develop right on track. So, basically my doctor said everything I was eating was going straight to them. The best part about that is after they were born, the weight dropped really fast and then some. The one thing I was told to do is eat protein. That is very good for the babies. So, when I couldn't eat more food, I drank protein shakes. Good luck.

if i have one negative reflection on my trio, it would have been to sit down, slow down and think smart work less FOR THEIR sake. the longer you hang on to your babies the better quailty of life you all will have. get the book; preg for twins, trips & quads (justmultiples.com, tripletconnection.com) great sites.

best wishes
