Expecting triplets and having lots of questions

Congratulations on your pregnancy! We just had triplets (b/b/g) on Aug. 1, 2012. They were born at 26 weeks. I was active prior to going through IVF and had to slow it down a lot once I became pregnant. I thought that i would be able to work longer but I was put on bedrest at 20 weeks. I began to feel pressure on my belly even though everything else felt fine. I stayed off my feet and ate very well. My suggestion would be to stay off your feet as much as possible, eat well, snack often and get plenty of rest. Even though i took great care, I still went into labor early because my water broke for one of my babies. I loved being pregnant and I am totally in love with my babies. Being on bedrest was hard at first, but I continued to tell myself that it would help my babies. I did alot of web surfing about babies, and triplets. I also shopped on line and tried to stay busy planning for the babies nursery. Do as much as you can now because once you get on bedrest you will not be able to everything you wanted. I had not completed the babies nursery and we just finished it since the babies may be coming home in the next few weeks. I had bleeding when I was about 7 weeks pregnant and it lasted for about two weeks. I believe i had a little spotting after but it went away pretty quickly. Our doctor said it was pretty common when you are carrying multiples. Our babies were born early but from what I read alot of triplets mom go 32 -34 weeks :)

Well, it looks like we are going to have two boys and one girl. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow. They are all measuring larger than 15 weeks. Two babies are measuring 16 w + And 6 oz. Baby c is the smallest at 4 oz something. According to books I've been reading, at 15 weeks, babies should be about 2 to 3 oz. is it a good thing or bad thing that they Are measuring 6 oz?

Hi Chris, I just gave birth to natural triplets (two identical boys and 1 singleton boy) at 31 weeks as my water broke. I'm 35 years old and had a miscarriage at 4 months. I was on bed rest at 24 weeks due to 10mm cervix shortening. I did bleed a small amount in the very beginning but it soon stop, just continue to have the doctors monitor it closely. I was very active and worked full time as a Disability Support Worker until the doctors refused to give me clearance to return to work as they feared I was going to have the babies before the 3rd trimester. I was also pressured to consider reduction to two of the babies sharing one placenta due to possible TTT Syndrome, but I stood my ground and would not listen to these specialists. I only put on less than 5kg throughout the whole pregnancy due to morning sickness day and night and had no appetite at all. But the 3 boys were born a pretty good weight considering I'm only 54kg and 154cm tall. My triplets were in NICU for almost 2 months as they had to be tube fed, stay in the humidicrib, had jaundice and sleep apnea and born premmie. They are now doing fine and growing well. Hi, I'm expecting triplets myself. We are 17 weeks and I also have a ton of questions. But I wanted to share with you that I too had some bleeding at the begining and PANICKED everytime. I was assured it was normal and has since stopped. All three of our little ones are growing well and I am still not gaining weight either. In fact I'm down a couple pounds. It doesn't surprise me as I was horribly sick my first trimester, it has alleivated some and I can definitely eat more these days but I still struggle with being sick.



I think the most important thing is to rest, take it easy as much as possible and DRINK LOTS OF WATER-

Hi i delivered 2 identical boys and baby girl. We lost one boy after 6 hours after . But i also had twin too twin transfusion syndrome, babies share a placenta. I also did ivf but never had those issues. I was on bed rest 2 months at home & 4 weeks set . I wish u the best. I delivered at 28 weeks.
