Hi everyone, just wanted to let you guys know that our little ones are here!  I delivered last week on Thursday, Jan. 22.  I was 30 wks and 5 days but the docs were worried about baby A.  First could find no heartbeat, but luckily did the next day but fluid was low so we were given options and decided to deliver all 3 while they were all alive and doing okay.  So I got my round of steroid shots and we delivered 3 healthy babies.  Lilly Ann was born first and weighed 3 lbs. 3 oz. , Aiden Wayne was second and weighed 3 lbs. 2 oz., and Sophie Gail was last and weighed 3 lbs. 5 oz.  All are doing really well.  None of them had to be put on a ventilator and Aiden is the only one still on the cpap.  The girls are on regular oxygen canulas.  They all have feeding tubes and are eating different amounts.  They really are doing well for their age and hopefully they will be home in another 5-7 weeks!  Keep us in your prayers and thanks for all the stories and advice!

one more thing- When I was pregnant I educated myself on what was typical of premie births.  My cousin was a NICU nurse and told me some of the BASICS.  NO bad stories.  Keep good karma and positive thoughts!!!  It didn't freak me out when one baby was on a ventilator for a week.  I was prepared.  (She's totally fine) They may run test on the babies that may sound scary, but I knew ahead of time they were all routine.  So don't go crazy taking in TOO much info.  Just what is normal and routine for premies.  My hubby was shocked at how calm I was about everything.  (i'm not always calm!)  There are tooo many stories out there that will make you nervous... don't read them...read the happy ones!

Stay positive! Listen to your body! and let your hubby take care of you!

Congratulations!!  I delivered GGG at 31wks6d.  My husband and I used to go back to our multiples class to speak and give advice to couple expecting multiples.  So here are my words of wisdom:  #1  These are your kids, so I can ( along with everyone else) can give you tips, but you figure out what works for you!!  #2 Set up your support system now.  Do you have people to lend a hand-  especially in the beginning and/or when you or the kids get sick.  #3 Never turn down a helping hand, even if someone can just come over and help w/ feeding or hold a baby. (we had relatives -usually 2 at a time- spend one night about every six weeks just so we could get a good night sleep.  #4 I kept my girls on the same schedule with each other as much as I could.  This allowed for me to get some down time!  #5 This is my favorite-  Once you're comfortable leaving them for a short while make some time for you.  I would meet my friends once a week for a couple cocktails, while my husband did the last feeding and put everyone to bed.  I think this was key to my sanity!  Do what works for you!!  Good Luck and take lots of pictures-  They grow up waaaaay tooooo fast!

wow. congratulations first of all, and second of all if u want to be able to sleep make sure u keep a strict schedule for feedings, diapers and write everything down... BELIEVE me it really works...it tooke me 15 min each baby...(meaning if a 1st feedin was at 3:00 the 2nd was eating by 3:15 and the 3rd by 3:45) even if the 2nd and 3rd were sleeping i would wake them.. the learned quickly and i got more sleep at nite... good luck

Congratulations!!!  We have a 4 year old girl and 7 month old GGB triplets!  I know how scared you are - but really, this part is very short lived.  First of all, if you haven't already, start a journal and take lots of pictures.  I didn't and already regret it.  It will be so awesome to look back on.  Also, take care of yourself.  Bedrest isn't fun, but try to enjoy the peace and quiet now!!  Mine were born at 31 weeks and all came home at different times.  They did great, though, and are all very healthy.  Enjoy the time you have now with your husband.  Hopefully, you have lots of family support.  You can do this!  It's really a lot of fun.  And every month gets easier, once they get here!  Good luck!!

Congradulation Kristin. Hope your still doing well with the pregnancy. Hope no more scares. My name is Toni in ID, I have GBB triplets that will be 2 in the end of March. The babies were born at 36w1d and only stayed in NICU for 14 days, but all healthy. You already got so many good replies. Definatley keep a schedule for the most part. I let some things slide though. When grandmas and grandpas take care of the kids I dont care if they break all the rules. It helps me and them to not freak out when we do go out and do something where there normal schedule is broken around us. Hope that makes sense. Another suggested taking up on as much help as possible. I agree. It was hard to accept people who offered dinners, and house cleaning but my friends and family (even people I didnt know) who did offer and I accepted were probably a big part and lasting until week 36. Take care and enjoy. Hey one last note. One regret i have is not taking weekly pictures of my belly throughout the pregnancy. Think about it.

Thank you everyone for all you good wishes and stories. I am now 28 weeks and everything is going great. We had a scare because the docs thought they saw a 4th baby but they now believe they were mistaken (lets hope so, lol). They also have changed to the fact that I have 2 girls and 1 boy instead of 2 b and 1 girl. I guess we won't really know everything until they get here!! Thanks again

Congratulations Kristin! I have 8yr old GGB triplets that were born at 31w6d. They were 3,3 - 3,6 - 3,12 and none needed ventilators and came home a month before their due date. Just try to rest and eat as heathly and as much as possible. Listen to your boday. Your main job right now is to keep those babies in as long as you can and no matter how long you are able to go you should be congratulated. Good luck and take care of yourself!

Congratulations and best of luck on the remainder of your pregnancy. I'm the mom of GGB 2mos old trips. They came at 31 wks 6 days. Two spent three wks in the nicu and one for six wks (she had trouble remembering to breathe while sucking on her bottle--- poor thing just wanted to suck and swallow as fast as possible). They're all home now and doing fabulously. I agree with the mom who advised to keep them on a schedule. It will be a life saver!! Relax and try to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. If you haven't already, definitely pick up Dr. Barbara Luke's book on expecting triplets. It's a great help.

i was scared also. i was also expecting 2 boys and a girl. they are now 3. when my doctor told me to quit my job at 24 weeks i ate the house and then the house next door. i quit my job due to the risk of it. i work at an animal hospital as a assistant. i carried them for 36 weeks and 1 day. (that one day killed me) i gained 60.5 lbs and they came home with me. no problems. they had speech therapy at 2 and are in preschool. believe me, all the sleepless nites are wonderful and well worth it. my biggest advice is: stick to a schedule. i kept them on the same schedule that they were on at the hospital. they are still on a scheduel. it makes your life easier and whom ever babysits them. good luck. are they moving yet? that was the best, my kids moved like crazy kids after i ate a nutty bar. enjoy being pregnant, i miss it like crazy. take it easy.

Hey, you're halfway there! We scheduled a c/s at 36 weeks. In hindsight I would have forced myself to wait another week, we would have probably been better eaters. But still, no NICU. You're in for the adventure of your life:)

Kristin, I have had three singletons and a set of trips. Triplets are more time consuming than they are difficult. Enjoy it! I have accepted many offers of help, simplified my life, and I couldn't be happier. Just focus on being a mom and have fun with your new little blessings!

OMG - congrats!!!!!!!!!! I have 7 month old triplet girls and they are just the most amazing blessing. I, like you, was scared but super excited when I was pregnant. Just try to relax and enjoy the pregnancy the best you can. I carried to 35 weeks and my girls went home with me from the hospital - not even a moment in the NICU - it can be done! Don't let people scare you, just take care of yourself and your little ones. Good luck!
