One of my dearest friends just found out her first pregnancy will be triplets! She is in her twenties and her and her husband have just recently purchased a house. I want to throw her an amazing shower, but I am at a loss for prioritizing what to look for and where. What is the best 3-seater stroller? Is it wise to get three convertible cribs? Should we stock up on cases of wipes and nappies now?

Please share with me any "best practices," favorite things, or must haves and any advice you wish someone had told you when you were having your bundles of joy!

Thanks so much!

the best thing my friends and family did for me was to hold a "diaper raffle" at my 3 showers. everyone who brings a package of diapers gets entered into a raffle (lotions, candles, picture frames, etc make easy raffle prizes). i didn't buy diapers for at least 6 months! HUGE savings!

I had 3 showers. The first one around 24 weeks. The second one 25 weeks and the last one 27 weeks. I did not go to the one at 27 weeks. I almost did not make it through the one at 25 weeks. I was so tired. I was so big. You get tired so easy/fast then.
Have fun! Let me know how they are doing!

Thank you for all of the wonderful advice! Although they are due April 15, I figured perhaps we should play it safe and have the shower in February!

Congrats to your friend! She will be needing so much!

-18 bottles or good enough for 24 hours (I had 24 for those days I was too daze to wash bottles--we used Dr. Browns great for refluxers)

-3 crib sheet each (9 total)

-2 mattress cover each (6 total)

-diapers but go for bigger sizes (babies grow quicker than you think)

-wipes, wipes, wipes

-hand sanitizers (a must!)

-1 crib if co-bedding, 3 if not (the better brands require at least 6 weeks before they can be delivered)

-crib mattress

-3 carseats

-3 boppies

-3 swings

-3 bouncers

-3 swaddlers each (9 total);

-depending on your due date, onesies (my kids lived in them for the first year) if summer or rompers if winter babies;

There are not alot of strollers out there for triplets. Run Abouts are great and they can be used for ever - But they are very expensive. I wish now I had got the Foundations The Quad 4 Passenger Stroller - Then I would have had an extra spot for diaper bags and such. It is hard to reach under the strollers to use the baskets. I am thinking this one runs around $500. Here is a site you might want to check out, http://multiples.about.com/od/stroller1/...

Do not get the Baby Trend - They are not very good and the kids will out grow this one quick!

Also bath cloths were my best friend. I kept them in a basket in the living room. They were good for under the chin during bottles, they were really good for spit up.

Another thing that would be really nice - Dinners for the freezer. Before and after the babies get here.

You might want to think about having the shower around 20-24 weeks. A lot of moms go on bed rest around this time. After 24 weeks I really didn't feel like getting dress and going anywhere. Went into the hospital at 28 weeks. Alot can change really fast in a triplet pregnancy.

Tell your friend good luck!
