Hubbys losing his job :(

I thank God my husbands job still seems to be going strong.. its really scary right now.. he is heavy haul and mostly pulls huge equipment going out to other countries so hopefully that will hold up.. I will pray everything works out for you... as for the being gone.. it gets easier with time.. at one point when I was pregnant my husband was out for a month each time! He ended up leaving that job though and now he is home every other weekend for two days... from the last month of my pregnancy till our son was was about 7 months my husband was home every other night... it killed me at first when he had to start being gone two weeks at a time... but that was 4 months ago and now it just seems normal again.. miss him like crazy of course but atleast im not bawling my eyes out like I did that first week he left! lol.. good luck!

what state are you from? my husband works for conway in denver,colorado. they have layed off 21 people here so far and things are very slow here at least one day a week he is getting sent home with less then 8 hours some other people are not working a full week.

Yeah i know it is hard to be alone all day, My husband is gone for 7 till 8 days, and then 3 days home sometimes less. Thats how we hace to handle our life. of course its not easy but thats there job.

This working away thing is not permanent. They are sending him there as long as a few days or weeks. As long as they need him while he finds another job. I hope its soon! Its very stressful. We have literally pennies left till next pay day and i dont know when the paychecks are gonna stop and if he will have a job to fall into :( I'm soooo scared!

I can't say that I'm in the same boat, but I can feel for you. My hubby is only home on the weekends too. I've gotten used to it and find that he gets better miles and pay. Just keep reminding yourself that it won't be a perminate situation and that things will get better. Keep your head held high!

Not quite the same but similar. I'm on mat leave so limited income for me. My hubby just came in off the road to a new company where he's home every night barring here and there and week ends but its a new company so nothing dedicated yet which means he's taken a huge paycut.What's worse the money or the absentness? I don't know I'm really struggling to pay the bills right now I think I'd rather he was gone as wrong as that is.
