Hi I'm Cassi, a mother of two, one son, and one step daughter. I've been TTC since November 08, with no luck. I love to give advice when I can, and be there to support anyone who is going through the pain of infertility as I am. I have a community for anyone interested in joining, it is "Moms trying to conceive (secondary infertility)" which is open and welcome to all. Good luck to all who are TTC and LOTS of baby dust!!

Hi Cassi, I'm Julie mother of one boy who turned 6 yrs old last month. I have been trying to conceive since April-May 2009. At first it was trying by just seeing if it would happen. But for now 5 months I am trying a bit more desperately. They say that under a year of trying it isn't call infertility. I had a very hard time to get pregnant with my son. Anyway, now will be a year trying beginning of May. I actually got pregnant in January but had a miscarriage 6 weeks later. : ( I am into the calendar big time and writing when we have sex. I even had a month that I did the Ovulation kits (quite expensive, but wanted to see how it works). After reading in the paper info of the Ovulation kit that it doesn't mean that you are ovulating if you get a peak... I kind of got discourage. There is month that we don't ovulate... that is very hard and sad to know when that happen. I have an appointement @ the OB May 4 to get a prescription of Clomil to help with ovulation. My cycle is somewhat irregular. Actually before I took the Patch (birth control) I had a regular cycle. I took the patch for less than a year and after coming off of it... I have cycle days of 26 days and others of 37 (and not because I am pregnant, because I've tested negative). Now with an irregular cycle it gets even harder to conceive. The problem with the Clomil is that you might get pregnant with twins. I would love that, but... double the expense. I am trying to have a girl. I saw a site online that sell vitamines to help your body get ready for pregnancy. They have cheaper pregnancy test (tiny stick). They sell tea, vitamine for mom to be and dad to be, test for pregnancy and ovulation, etc. I also downloaded a bunch of application into my iPhone with calendar to help conceive. Gives me a better chance of pinpointing the right day. But making a baby is hard business. I also bought a book called: "What to expect when you trying to conceive." Great book ! Have you gone to the OB? What have he-she said? Good luck to you too.
