anyone out there on clomid. Hows it going?

I took my last pills today. I'm on 100mg of clomid and we officially begin trying on 'labor day.' So excited and nervous at the same time. If it doesn't happen this month, I'm fine with that. But by next week, I'll be a bit nervous. Good luck to you all!

I will start taking Clomid today for the 1st time (50 mg) and I'm REALLY nervous! I hope it works and fast! I had my 1st daughter with no problems, my second took a year of constantly trying, and now trying for my 3rd, after finding a cyst that thankfully went away, my dr found out I am not ovulating every month. My periods only come every 2-3 months. So he's starting me on Clomid! Good luck everyone! and CONGRATULATIONS RACHAEL!!!! :)

I am on my 5th cycle of clomid.. I started out with 100mg (for 3 cycles) and am now on 150mg (this is my 2nd cycle) I ovulated the first cycle but not on the 2 and 3rd. It's weird because I sometimes don't get my period at all until I take provera to re start it.
It's so discouraging... It didn't bother me at first but it's now been more than 1 yr that I am trying and now it's really killing me.. Anyways, hopefully this month it my lucky month :)

If you dont mind me asking, What are the side effect of these pills? I have been trying for baby #2 for almost a year with no success and I know that eventually if I still am unsuccessful the Dr. will want to put me on them and I heard from one of my girlfriends they made her extremely sick...Just a fluke thing with her maybe? Hopefully. :)

i was due a period on sunday but nothing. I have tested and its negative. I am so sick of sitting waiting for that line. I have period pains but no period yet so it will probably arrive tommorow. I have to go in for blood tests on the next cycle to find out when i am ovulating but its still so varied. I thought the clomid may have helped my cycle get into a pattern but it hasn't yet.

Well, not this month. I got my period Friday and went in for an ultrasound. My ovaries were both enlarged and full of cysts, so I'm on birth control pills for a month and then we're going to discuss the next step. But no more Clomid for me. He said it just wouldn't work for me. There's one other pill I can try or I can go to injectables. I'd prefer the injectables, but they're really expensive so I'm not sure what we're going to do.

Still waiting...I took a pregnancy test yesterday, but it was negative. I called the Dr. and he said to wait another week. I should get my period by then, but if I don't, I have to take another test. It's so depressing to sit there and look at the place where the line should be on the test. But I just keep trying to think about how special this baby will be when I'm finally able to get pregnant.

Well, I definitely ovulated on 150 mg!  In fact, I superovulated and he said I've probably got "several eggs floating around there".  He said I'm either pregnant or I will get my period within 10 days so now I'm just waiting to be able to take the test.  If I'm not pregnant, he said that we might have to do something other than Clomid because he doesn't want me to superovulate again like I did this time. 

I wish I would have known how much Depo would have affected everything.  I probably would have chosen not to use it.  Oh well, at least I know now.

i fell with my first within 2 months despite just having a large cyst removed from my overy. With my second it took me 13months to fall. After her i went on the Depo Provera but had severe side effects and so only had one dose. My periods didn't return for 8months and i have never had a good cycle since. How did your appointment go?

Yeah, I had no problems with my first baby.  I was married in August and had her in May : )

My Dr. said that it was probably be cause I weighed so much less back then and that I was really lucky.  After I had Breanna I went on Depo Provera and didn't have periods for almost 4 years.  Then I went off of it so we could start trying again and had extremely irregular periods - sometimes 3 or 4 months would go by without one.  I tried the ovulation predictor kits, but never showed a surge. 

Even with the Clomid I'm still not ovulating.  But I'll find out this afternoon if the larger dose has helped.  I know the Metformin is helping me to loose weight.  I've lost almost 20 pounds.  The Dr. said that the weight loss should help significantly with the conception efforts (and not just because I'm hopefully more attractive LOL)

How was it for you with your first two kids?

hi thanks for your support. This is child number 3 we are trying for. I am only on 50mg of clomid. I have problems with ovulation. I do ovulate but its very inconsistent. I may not have a period for 15 weeks and then the next one in 4 weeks. The clomid has helped but its so frustrating. Did you fall pregnant ok the first time?

I too am on my 3rd cycle of Clomid.  This time I'm up to 150 mg with 1500 mg of Metformin.  I never ovulated with my first 2 rounds of Clomid.  I'm going in Friday to see if I ovulated this time.  It is very depressing to be trying so hard and not getting pregnant.  I'm working on my second child and we've been trying for about 2 years.  Good luck!
