Just curious how long everyone has been TTC. We are going on 6 years in April.

So, how long have you been trying, and what have you tried (other than the obvious... LOL)?

My husband and I was TTC for almost 2 and a half years with no luck. After continuing to try without any success, we began clomid treatments. The Clomid making me sick to my stomach. After 4 rounds, we did not get pregnant. And then I started following the Getting Pregnant Plan book because the clomid and the other fertility drugs didn't worked on me. After 3 months following the book I can't believe that I got positive result. I'm PREGNANT! We are more than our physical bodies, treating yourself holistically by following the Getting Pregnant Plan from http://aboutgettingpregnant.com is going to greatly improve your chances of healing and conceiving, so you can move toward a successful, healthy pregnancy.

1 month today! Just got married 1 month ago and we waited to be together until marriage! Best decision ever! I have an 8 year old daughter. We haven't tried anything special but I do keep track of my cycles so we know when the best time to try is. We did try pre seed once so we shall see what God has planned for us! It's hard seeing that not pregnant on a hpt but it's only been a month and I'm just trying not to expect it at any certain time because it is up to God not us. We are very excited and loving being newlyweds! It's a little hard because all of my friends are trying to not get pregnant! So no one to share excited about getting pregnant haha.

My hubby and I just decided to officially start trying! We are both so excited!! This will be a first child together! The only thing is I'm in the military and I'm away right now so for the next few months we may not even be together during my fertile days. But we are certainly going to try every chance we can get together! =)

Wow ! When I read some of the posting it makes me want to cry. I have been trying for a year and I am getting every month closer to screaming. I do not take my temperature as my boyfriend like early morning sex and that you are suppose to take the temperature daily at the same time and before even moving from bed, so before sex of course. At the beginning I stop talking the Patch (birth control) that I had been on for about or less than a year. I thought I was pregnant as I fainted and I read somewhere that it happen in some woman. I didn't go back to the patch after that as it made me realise that I really wanted a baby and that I was ready for trying. My son is now 6 and in school full-time. With my son I don't remember how long we tried, but I remember writing in the calendar the days we had or should have sex and the change in mucus, etc. I remember that early on I had breast tenderness which the doctor said was due to hormone, but the blood test was negative. When I say early, it was about a week after my period. I thought that I had breast cancer. I was busy studing for the month of July so busy, drinking a LOT of water... which I don't drink normally a lot. I then thought that I had diabete. On my Bday I found out that I was pregnant and very pregnant as the two line appeared as the pee when up the stick. On a pregnancy of 3 minutes, mine didn't take even that. 1 minutes at the most. So bottom line is that I know that I can get pregnant. I had a positive in february 2007 which I lost at about 6-7 weeks. I also had a positive this January which I miscarried at 5-6 weeks. We tried not so desperately after that until about November and then I started to log on my iPhone all my period and sex and other relevant or not relevant infos. My OB said that I should try Clomid if it didn't happen naturally after a couple months after the miscarriage. I have an appointement on May 4 and hopefully I will get pregnant this month... otherwise, I am taking the next step. I am not old, but the OB said that there is more risk as you get older and I couldn't bare to wait 3 years for it to happen. At that point I would be crying monthly... I don't understand why for some people it is SO easy and for other it seam so hard. I am still not too bad compare so some of you that is for sure. But, boy when we put our hopes every month into something that we really want and nothing happen and AGAIN the pregnancy test is Negative... I wish the best of luck to all of you with lots of baby dusts.

For me, its going on 4 years. I've had 3 losses and have one 7 year old son. My current fiance and I just started trying for our first togethter 3 months ago. No luck yet. I'm doing BBT charting, fertility monitor, vitex and a few other herbs. Started some fertility testing and so far my FSH test was negative, so on to the next step.

a very long and frustrating 3 years and 4 months :( .After trying the opk's,checking cm, keeping track and counting days and all the other stuff,.. We just decided to leave it in God's hands ! ....although we do have a 10 year old (almost 11 as she points out !).. daughter, it has been really hard for her as well because she wants a baby brother and sister so bad :(

WOW! 6 years?! I guess I have nothing to complain about! Sorry :(

We've been trying since our daughter turned one in Oct 08. We were "unactively" trying until about a year ago, and then decided we should get on it. (HA No pun intended, but it works!!!) Since we originally wanted our children to be 2 years apart, we are a teeny bit late on that one.

I have an extremely irregular cycle (I can go 3 months btwn periods), and probably don't ovulate very often, since my hubby and I have been having unprotected sex since we were dating and never got pregnant, except with dd.

We have tried all the at home ways: ovulation predictors, etc. We are hoping to see a specialist this spring or summer after all other methods failed. We want to try natural herbs before drugging me :). I don't want to have another surgery, so I don't know how far we are willing to go for another baby. I figure we'll get the diagnosis, and research our options :)

My husband and I have been trying for nearly 6 months now, and it doesn’t sound like long but we thought that it would happen right away. Our son is now 16 months and he just happened we definitely were not trying for him but now I’m desperate for baby number two! Good luck to you all!

Well we have been trying since we lost our baby 4 months ago on the 9th. So we haven't been trying for very long but so far no luck and im hoping for either a chirstmas miracle or maybe a bday miracle.

1 year, 2 months and 23 days. (lol) not tried anything really yet. We're taking a "when it happens, it happens" approach. But it is kind of bugging me now. I had a miscarriage VERY late on when I was 18, then another in June of this year. I think we're going to have to start trying harder soon, because its really starting to get me down. I'm only 20; it shouldn't be this difficult :(

I have two girls already, my partner and i would like two boys, but one would be enough. I came off the pill 6 months ago, every month i have sickness, fatigue, cravings, bloating, tender breasts but then along comes my period. I have actually gone to the loo and cried at the sight of my period starting. Everyone tells me "it'll happen when its mean't too, relax dont think about it" but i cant, every month i thnk about it more and more. Its hard but i guess it'll just be so fantstic when i do get a positive test... I'll proberly frame it! lol

My Husband and I have been trying for baby #2 since Sept of last year. I currently have a Dr. appt. tomorrow to discuss my options and maybe have some tests done to rule everything out. I think maybe I'm just stressing out about it too much. Good luck ladies, I know how frustrating it is!

it does really hurt i agree, and it annoys me when people say to relax, easier said then done. how can you not think about it, yes sex is great but for me at the moment its to make a baby and thats my main aim.

Hi! My daughter is 4 1/2 and when she turned one I stopped taking the pill. I havent gotten pregnant yet. I am not on any meds...trying to do this naturally. I am getting a little impatient though, and I am sure that is not helping our situation. I dont know why it is taking us so long to get pregnant since it only took us 5 months for my daughter. I guess it will happen when it is meant to...but it still hurts every month when it doesnt! Good luck to you and everyone!!

Just a couple of weeks for me, just letting what happens happen for my husband. LOL I have baby fever bad. I did a little research this time around, and I made sure to have sex on the correct days. It took over a year for my first, and I think it was because of lube. I found out sperm don't like it too much. There was only one or two times I didn't use it then, and my daughter was the result.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive number 2 for 2 1/2 years now.  I've recently been referred to a reproductive endocrinologist and diagnosed with PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).  I'm on birth control pills right now (to reduce the cysts) and will discontinue them and begin Clomid and Metformin (this will be my 3rd try with Clomid but my first with the Clomid/Metformin combination).

Hi! My husband and I have been TTC baby 3 since March of 2007. We got pregnant in October of last year but I lost the baby at 6 weeks on Black Friday. We have recently begun to try again. I am going to the doctor later this month to discuss fertility.

My husband and I have been TTC without any help or tactics, Baby Dance Only for about 5 months. Starting next month we will probably go to a doctor. We have a 9 month old and it took us almost a year to conceive him.

This is our first month TTC, I don't think it is going to be this month ( I just don't feel it) So we will be trying again next month. I have never charted but have thought about looking into it. I really want an October baby. If it happens next month it would be an end of October baby.

Hello! My husband and I just began ttc again in November. We are simply keeping track of my cycle, taking advantage of fertile days. Nothing special but I hope we will have positive results.

[deleted account]

Have you talked with your doctor? I am not sure what all you have tried, but when my husband and I were trying with our son, I used www.FertilityFriend.com to help me chart my basal body temp and my fertility signs. Now that we are trying again I am using the site again. I just did a post about fertility on my blog feel free to check it out http://www.bellytobellybutton.com/?p=20. Hope this is helpful.

My husband and I have only just started. I went off of the low dose pill in November. We have a 21 month boy, Vincent.. We've kind of just have a "when it happens, it happens" attitude about it. Haven't tried any tactics this time around.
