Is anyone taking prenatals to help conceive? and if so what kind, what symptoms are they giving you and what do they taste like? Also where did you get them and how much?

I am currently taking the Spring Valley prenatals from WalMart ($4 for a bottle of 100). Once that runs out, I will start taking a prescription called PrimaCare One with DHA and EPA. The prescription has more folic acid as well as Omega 3s and a stool softener.

With my son I was taking flintstones chewables complete multi-vit. I tried a few samples from my doctor but they all gave me upset stomach so she put me on these. They are pretty cheap and they taste fruity :)

Quoting Shannon:
Do taking prenatal vitamins help to conceive? I thought it was just for health and development.
I've heard that it can help but maybe it just helps for when you do become pregnant that your already using them its a benefit instead of finding out your a month pregnant and then start using them

I bought a bottle of 100 for $4 at Wal Mart. They will do until I get a prescription and then Meijer fills prenatal vitamin prescriptions for free. YAY!

I believe mine are a generic version of Natale (?) I don't have the bottle right in front of me at the moment. I probably spelled it wrong. With my insurace they cost me about $6 for 90 days. I also take Expecta by Enfamil, a DHA supplement. These are $10 for a 30-day supply and I get them at Walmart. So far, I don't have any side effects but I've taken these for both of my kids.

I use the Target brand as I'm trying to conceive, they were the only ones that didn't make me nauseous during my first pregnancy with my daughter so I'm using those again :-) They have no taste and cost maybe $8.00 for a bottle of 200. Hope this helps!
