Hypothyroidism during pregnancy?

Amber - posted on 01/19/2011 ( 2 moms have responded )

I found out I was hypo after I had my son. Now I am 32 weeks pregnant (and horrible about taking any kind of medicine, not just the synthroid) and my doctor chooses now to tell me that my child could be mentally retarded if I even carry to term. Has anyone else had this problem? Any feedback would be appreciated, I am freaking out about this!

Tragically fertility rates are decreased in women who have PCOS or Hypothyroidism! But there’s little evidence that any particular diet helps increases a woman’s chances of getting pregnant quickly. However, there’s still hope for you and many other women facing this challenge. I found some really interesting information that will assist you as it did me. Information on how to get pregnant fast and have a healthy pregnancy, the hidden truth behind everyday activities & their impact on your fertility, simple things you can do every day to increase your chances of conceiving, an easy way to improve your fertility, even in women with PCOS or have an irregular cycle, how to lose weight in a healthy manner which will mean improving your chances of getting pregnant, and so much more. I believe there is a holistic approach to our shared problems rather than more and more drugs. Pregnancy for me is a total approach in both mind and body. Let me know how you go with it ok.
