Even though my OB strongly suggested that I either get induced or schedule for a C-section at 38 weeks, I would like to carry them as long as possible. I understand there are some risks like failed placenta, but want to know what causes it and other potential risks? If anyone can share your experience for 38+ week pregnancy with twins, it will be greatly appreciated!!!

I made it to 38 1/2 weeks. My OB was willing to let me go as long as I could but I psychically couldn't take it longer. I was having pain in muscles I didn't know I had which made it hard to walk or lift up my legs to lay down. Also the babies were moving and kicking so much I wasn't getting any sleep which made it hard to care for my 3 yr old. I asked her if I was far enough along to have the planned C-section. She did an amnio to determine if their lungs were matured and they were so I had them 2 days later. For the most part I had a healthy pregnancy I had a mild case of placenta previa the first months but I was also seeing my OB almost once a week the last month. You should really voice all your concerns to your OB.
