How to go grocery shopping with 14 month old twins?

I went shopping today. We normally turn a few heads and get the comments. "Boy, you have your hands full." "Ohhh hahaha...double trouble" etc. Today I heard a new one: "Look there goes Super Mom!"
I suppose that seing a woman pushing a pram with three kids in it is one thing, but when that same woman is also dragging a shopping trolley that is overflowing with groceries, nappies and formula.....
Who wouldn't take a second look?

I have 17 month old twins and a side-by-side stroller. I load them up, and push them in front of me with one hand, and drag the cart behind me. Took me a few tries to get fast, but now I can do a full grocery run in 30 minutes. I still bang my ankle with the cart sometimes, but you must do what you've got to do....groceries are necessary. I always give my girls something to play with while they are riding in the stroller and I always talk to them and let people stop and look and marvel.....that keep them entertained so I can get my shopping done.

I have 13 month old twin girls and a 2 1/2 year old boy. The problem is that once I have the pram and toddler seat in the boot of my car I don't have room for my shopping. What i do is take a small matress or throw and put it in the bottom of a trolley. That sorts out both problems for me. It might turn a few heads, but 3 kids in a pram normally does as well.
I only go shopping once a month, so I often end up with a cart full of babies and another full of baby goods. LOL

My twins are now 3 1/2, but when they were the age of yours, I'd put one on my back (I loved the Ergo carrier) and one in the cart. My grocery store didn't have the carts with two seats like Costco does. Good luck!!!

Ha good luck on this one! I avoid the store if i have to take both by myself!!! I haven't discovered an easy way to succesfully accomplish this task.

I have a two year old and twin boys that are 16 months..I put the boys in the deep part of the shopping cart...or I found its not too difficult to pull one cart and push another..

I also use the carts with the double seats. But if I am in a store that does not have them, I put my daughter (the more active one) in the basket part of the cart and my son (the more relaxed one) in the toddler seat of the card. Juice and stacks are a must to get through the store. I save the big shopping trips for when my husband can help out and we use 2 carts - a kid in each cart - no fighting that way.... Don't you have the shopping trolleys with a seat where you can sit one or two toddlers? We have them here in single and double. I take my two (14 months) out of the car seats and strap them into the trolley. Then usually give them a rice cake each when they start whining halfway through the shopping trip. If I don't have too much shopping I just put shopping in the hoods and shopping tray of the buggy and give the girls some (unbreakable) stuff to hold. Just have to be careful to check every nook and cranny of the buggy when you get to the till.
