Is any one else noticing that one twin is developing faster than the other? My son seems to be almost a month behind his sister on everything. Should I be worried?

Thanks for all of the advise. It has put my mind to rest. Molly is starting to stand and pull her self up and Wyatt is starting to belly crawl. I would agree with girls wanting to be independent. She has to be doing something all of the time - gotta do gotta go gotta do gotta go...

I was also worried about the same thing as my daughter does everything a good month or 2 before her brother, but as i was told girls develop quicker then boys do, boys have a tendancy of being lazy where as girls want to be independant.

Boys and girls have different ways of looking at things... check out this article - http://www.parenting.com/article/Baby/De... If it helps, not only do my frat boys do things at their own pace (1 crawled at 5 mo, walked at 9 - the other crawled at 10 mo, walked at almost 12) they are polar opposites. They're personalities are just like they were when I was pregnant, just more. They are also really different in head sizes and the amount of hair (though clothing sizes are about the same) so, everyone thinks my first born is a year older instead of them being twins.

Thanks - Wyatt finally got the hang of sitting up by him self. Molly is on to crawling. Each kid at it's own pace right???

My twins are the same! in some things my daughter develops faster and in other things my son is faster! they are 2 different babies and the only thing they share is a bday everything else is independent! if you had 2 children born at different times would you expect them to have developed at the same pace? be patient and enjoy each child's milestone without wondering why the other hasn;t reached the same thing!
i know its hard and i am preaching even though i worry about things like that too but i guess we have to force ourselves forget they are twins!!

Each kid grows at their own pace. It's fine as long as you see some progression over time. My girls are the same way. I have 9 month old fraternal girls and one is developing a few weeks before the other.

Thanks for putting my worries at bay. My ped. wanted to get Help Me Grow involved. I wanted to wait and see more. I was really annoyed with them when they suggested it.

My 15 month old b/g twins are the same, the only difference is that he has always done everyting first. He started crawling almost 2 months before her and he has been walking for almost a month and she still isn't. I laugh though because he is a dare devil and she is soo cautious. I know I shouldn't compare them because the are different children, but it's so hard because they are the same age. I don't think you should be woried about it though.
