I live by the high desert in California and am desperate for things to do. Any ideas? It can get so boring up here. I have Done the Gymboree class, and i love classes that are mommy and me based but with learning. Yet to find any. Thanks

I, too, have that same concern...my girls are 11 months old and I am a stay-at-home mom...I have stations throughout my house (bouncy chairs, swings and a play yard fence (or open play pen) to move my girls around. However, they will reach the maximum weight for the swings and the bouncy seats will also be too small for them real soon..I was a working mother for over 22 yrs so staying at home is all new to me, especially trying to entertain two at the same time. I don't know what the next phase will be for them except gating them in a section of our living room and making that kid friendly for them. I take them for walks every morning (mainly because it's summer now and the weather has been perfect) and have brought them to the park, but I don't know what kinds of programs there are for girls my age? So, I'm in the same boat you are, confused on making sure that their day has enough going on for them, to keep them content.

Hi! I second the library story time. You may want to search if your area has Kindermusik or Music & Me classes. Since it's summer, you may wanna do swim classes with your kid/s too! For just to play and burn off their energies, we take our boys to indoor play zones where there's a toddler area or if we don't want to pay then we take them to the mall's play area ;)

Not sure about that area as I do not live there but where I live the library has story time and during the summer they have a summer program with crafts and activities. Barnes and Nobles also has kids activites. The local community college here has "kids college" basically a kids day camp. They have craft classes for preschoolers and science classes for older kids. If you have a YMCA near by I bet they have some fun activities too.
