Hi my twins were born at 25 wks and 1 day, they are now nearly 7 months old now & doing well. They were ready to go home before I was!! I had an awful labour and had an emergency c-section which led to a blood transfusion a few days later. My little girl was first at 5lb exactly and my little boy 4 minutes later at 4lb 4oz. He has now overtaker her by miles!! Would be good to have a group

My 3 year old twins came at 35 weeks and spent 8 days in the NICU. They both have developmental delays and I do wonder how much of it is related to their preemie status.

I had b/g 32 weekers...it's been rough but they are 3 now and have almost outgrown all the preemie stuff....except they are still very small. There's a lot to having preemies. Some do great but not all do so you have to just understand that your babies will do things their own way when they are ready....don't comapre them to full term kids or other preemies.

My twin daughters are 8 years old now. They were born at 34 weeks. I had one naturally and the other emergency c-section (she had operation at 12 days for twisted bowel)......long story, but I do recommend that ALL babies should have their MMR (measles mumps and rubella) at around the age of 3 or 4 (12 months is too young).....because no matter what, I still think Autism is linked to it. I have a few friends with Autistic children and they say the same. I had "normal" babies until 14 or so months and then WHAM!! They are not autistic but they have Sensory Dysfunction Disorder......a mild spin off of autism. I strongly recommend immunization, only not so young with the MMR, the brains not developed enough. Something for you to consider... Otherwise it does get easier as they get older. Im available for any advice. Best of luck, twins are a blessing.....instant family :))

my identical girls were born 29 wks. had TTTS (twin to twin transfusion syndrome) as many of us have said, they are certainly my miricle babies. we had 73 and 80 days in the NICU; long days on the"O's" and a necro scare. they are now actual 2 1/2 yrs and thriving. because of the ttts there are definate differences in them developmentally, as well as size. as i read these posts i realize how far we've come and that i've even lost their weight in grams, adjusted ages, etc. if there is anyone out there who waqs ttts would b interested n ur story. Amen for our incredible NICU staffers!!!!!!!!!!

i had to have an emergency c- section at 33 weeks with my identical girls.. but they are 16 months now and doing great.. they only spent 18 days in the nicu but my smallest girl got MRSA right before we left so she had to have a pic line and have heavy antibiotics for a week but luckly they let us take her home with the other one and just had a home health nurse come out..did any other babies have that?

hi...my boys were born 31 weeks...they were each 3.12 lbs...i was not expecting it at all to be that early, just kinda happened one day. its weird having preemies because some of my friends have 3 month old babies (the age of my boys) and are so much more developed then my boys....so it takes a bit to get used to.

They are full of life and you would never know they were born at 34 weeks. They are a true blessing. It is fun having twins!

I just had twin boys on Feb 8th, born at 32 wks, 6 days. One came home three days ago, the other is still in the NICU at our local Children's hospital. He had to be transferred there at 4 days old due to a perforation in his bowel. He's doing well and so far only had to have minor surgery to drain out everything that had leaked through the hole. He's avoided a more invasive surgery to actually repair the hole as the Drs are hoping it will heal on its own. He started feeds this past Friday after two weeks of nothing but IV fluids. So far, so good!!! We keep praying he'll continue to get better and join us at home soon. The doctor's are amazed at how well he has handled it all - these little guys are so strong and amazing... I call them my little miracle babies!! I feel so blessed to have two bundles of joy and can't until we're all together as a family
