Bath time!

Once mine were old enough to sit on their own, I put them in a laundry basket in the tub. Here's a pic of them in there:

My girls are 15 months and since they turned 12 months I have been bathing them together in our double sink. They seem to enjoy each others company and this keeps them calm and not so nervous about the water. There is A LOT of slashing going on but its not a biggie.

I love the laundry basket idea I read on here!! I'll have to try it once I transition my girls to the bath tub. Thought of buying the bath ring but I may try this first. Dredding the tub because we have a deep soaker tub which is going to be murder on my back. Our other tub has sliding doors which won't give me very good access and our othe tub is in the basement!! Aauugh!! The deep soaker will have to do for now once I transition them from the sink.

I started my girls in the bath together since they were about 5-6 months old. I didnt find it to be to hard. I bought a shower head that I can pull down and I just washed one, then the other and rinsed. Now they are 2 and they know the routine. True it can be a lot on the back. I let them play for a bit they get the bath over. I am sorry that it you are finding it a bit challenging.

Try a bath chair... they are round and my son was able to sit in it while i was bathing them... I also have a rubber mat so they don't slip... I give all three of my kids a bath at the same time... by myself! It really kills my back too... so I put there towels on the ground and kneel on them while bathing them or get a step stool and sit on it next to the tub.. seems to help for me... Good luck!!

bath one at a time for safety and to get one on one time for each twin. we bath each one and let the other one have some time without any clothes & chewing bath toys. both LOVe it. my boy & girl twins are now 8 months! some times they share bath time with my 4 and 6 year girls too. Fun|FunFun!!! nb .We use a plastic seat too.

I got two bath rings from Walmart.com (ship to store is free) and bathe my 9mo old twins and 3yr old all at once. I wash them all then get them out one at a time. Hope this helps.

I had two baby tubs both in the big tub, and knelt by the tub. I am very heavy so it kills the back but in order to get bathtime done quick and fast I'd just put both girls in their tubs and wash 'em up as they got older I had a ring like thing ( it was a circle but kinda looked like the top to the high chairs in resturants but without the legs, lol) they sat in and one of the tubs converted into a chair. That way they were able to play with each other and I was able to bath them pretty easy. Oh and having pumps for your hair and body wash for the baby's helps soo much, lol.

I have bathed my 17 month old boys together since about 10 months. When I have no help I put them in the bath let them play for a bit and when ready to get them out, I let the water out, wrap each in a towell, take them to their bedroom and put one in their cot whilst I dress one and then put the other in the cot whilst I dressed the other. That way you know that one is safe whilst you have your hands full with the other!

As soon as my girls were sitting well on their own we started bathing them together. My husband would always help at first until they got used to it. Now they are 15 months old and love the bath! Its a lot of work to bath them together but I find it easier to just do it, plus they love being together.

I get in the tub with them, but usually only do one at a time, my husband hands me one, then while I'm washing the second, he's dressing and drying the first. Seems to work out pretty well for us

I got in the tub with them. One in my lap the other supported between my legs. My husband washed one while I played with the other, we switched and took them out one at a time.

When I was alone, I either used the big tub and put one in a circular laundry basket or bathed them one at a time in the kitchen sink (the faucet has a hose attachment).

I rarely used the bath seat my girls had because they had to be one at a time. On occasion I gave them a bath in the sink together till they got too big (around 8 months), but for the most part either my hubby or I took one at a time into the shower, or I would take one into the shower and he would take the other. Around the same time where they have enough strength to walk, not just set up, they can probably play in the tub without needing a chair/assistance, this was 10 months for my girls.

I bathe them one at a time !!! doing it together was too much work for me. even though my back is killing me, lol , they get cleaned faster and well.

My boys are 13mths and they have never had a bath together. I find it a lot easier to bathe one at a time. The boys love the bath to themselves too. Even though both can sit up themselves one of the boys prefer to lay down. When the boys are a little older then i will start bathing them together but at the moment its easy to just concerntrate on one at a time. while one is in the bath the other is in the playpen keeping himself amused.

Hi Kellie! My twins are 18 mo now and I used a laundry basket to put them both in (very inexpensive and I had a few of them already!) When they got a little bigger I just used 2 one for each of them and this worked great until they were ready to sit in the tub on their own. Hope I helped!

oh yeah, i DO remember that at about 8 or 9 months when we started in the tub, my boy was afraid of it so i sat him in the bumbo during baths and he liked that more. just an idea in case.

I don't really remember what I did at that age (even though mine are only 15 months old and it wasn't long ago, but I'm big and pregnant now and my memory is horrible! ) but now I put them both in and I sit on a little stool made for moms doing bath time (I got it at babies R Us for like $12.00 or something) and I get them splashing and playing together and then I get their hair and then I bathe one at a time. I drain the water, towel off one (usually my girl since my boy tends to pee if he stands cold too long) then I grab my boy and hold my girls hand and walk them both into the bedroom across the hall to diaper, lotion and dress them. I think before they were walking I just wrapped them both in towels and picked them both up and carried them ito the room but now that I'm 5 1/2 motnhs preggo and they walk just fine, that doesn't make sense anymore. I just have something against laying them down on the bathroom floor though even if it is freshly cleaned...but my sisters all swear I'm germaphobic so it might not be a big deal to other people. I just prefer to take them to their room before laying them down.

I have 13 mo old twin girls and we began giving them 'big girl' baths (together in the bathtub) around 9 mo old. They were both sitting very well by themselves. We just put a couple inches of water in the tub and sat them both in there. I usually wash them by myself, just taking turns. And if my husband is around, he'll help me get them out. But if not, then I would wrap one up in a towel and sit her on the floor then get the other out and carry both of them to the nursery. Once there, I would quickly put diapers on each of them before dressing either of them. It is back-breaking, but it's been better since they are a little older, now. I hope this helps!

I got bathseats at a MOMs yardsale and bathed my twins together from about 6 months on. They are almost 5 and I still bathe them together! We now throw our 2 year old in as well.

i had the rubber duck too but i was watching tv and i saw a bath seat, so i searched the internet and found it and its been a lifesaver! i love them! i would recommend them!

hi mine are 10mths ive been bathin my twins 2gether in the bath tub since birth i had a towling slanted bath seat used untill they could roll, i now have two bath chairs(from 6mths) which they hate so i only put a little water in the bath and they are just used to splashing and crawlin over each other i sit on a stool next to them and after ive washed both i let them play for a while

My Girls are just about to turn 2 this coming august, at first i was trying to bathe them one at a time until i realized that it was soo much easier to do it together and then get them dressed one right after the other. It is much more simpler and i find it very easy.

Me and my hubby have been bathing our boths together since about three months, sitting one up each side of the baby-bath. Last week we bought a two seated bath matt (made for twins) and they've been in the big bath since!! They love it, they're not sitting up properly on their own yet but with a bit of help they can and they're loving spashing each other and playing with toys! We only moved them because the amounth they were splashing each other we were ending up soaked!! At least now we have high tub sides hehe xx

It was a little snug, but when I was home alone & had to bathe them by myself, it worked to get them clean!

My boys have been taking "tubby time" together since they were about 8 or 9 months. We also used an extra large rubber tub mat so they would not slip. I didn't use much else besides some tub toys to entertain them, because there just wasn't enough room. Lather them up one at a time and let them have at it ;-). Towels on the floor help to contain the splashing :-). I would also drain the water and get one at a time out to dry and diaper. Now they are soon to be 4 years old and still love to play together in the tubby, although it is getting pretty crowded ;-). One is potty trained and the other is a work in progress, LOL. Getting them directly into a diaper is not as crucial at this point :-).

My twin boys are 9 months old today!! I started bathing them in the tub 2 weeks ago. I bought a mat, faucet cover & toys for them. So far I have found it really easy to bath together. They both just sit & play with their toys while I wash them. Once bath is over I drain the water & start drying them off. I put them 1 at a time on the floor &get at least their diapers on. Then we move to their room where 1 plays while i lotion & dress the other.

I thought about the duck too, but decided it looked too small for 2. So far I (and them too) am loving bath time!!

I hated to give up my duck! =) I started to bathe my boys together at 10 months (they turned 1 a couple of weeks ago) because that's when they were both crawling and moving well. One has a very large head and had a rough time getting around for a while! But I just bought an extra large mat and spout covers and threw them in. I only put a little water in at first while they got used to it. Now I usually fill it to their belly button. And I bought a bubble bath/soap combo (J&J make it but I buy Target's brand). It can be challenging especially once they start standing. But surprisingly when I ask them to sit they usually do. There's lots of toys to distract them and I move pretty quickly! Just remember to use different wash cloths for each! I always start by soaping up their hair, then we brush teeth (well, I try to brush and they just suck the toothpaste off!) Then I lather one up at a time. Next we rinse by pouring cups of water over them. They don't usually mind water in the face but I try to get them to look up by holding one of their favorite toys up. The hardest part I've found is getting them out and diapers on before some one pees on the floor! Usually my husband grabs one but if he's not home I start the water draining, get one out and dried off and a diaper on then grab the other and take them to their room. There is where we lotion up and put on pj's.

The best thing you can do is find what works for you and stick with it so they know what's up. I know one MOT who bathed hers in the sink (one at a time) until they were almost 2! It's easier on the back but I found they made a big mess every time and it was a pain to clean every time. I think the toys help a lot!
