Hi - I am a first time mum of twins. The boys are now 6 weeks old and I am still a bit nervous about taking them out on my own without my OH. I get worried that they start crying (even though everytime they are out they are sleeping!)....... Anyway, my question is what is the best time of day to take them out for a walk? Thanks Ladies xx

oh that's a good idea because my boys are always fighting their sleep! They do start screaming and crying about 5-6pm so I end up taking them out in the pram to clam them (usually to meet my OH from work). I feel bad taking them out so late but I do bath them as soon as I get in (7pm ish), feed them and then they go straigh to sleep......

When they get older and start having a routine, I'd say wait until is almost nap time and take them for a walk. I do that with my 15 month old twin girls and it's great. They enjoy the walk, fall asleep and I get some alone time too

Any time of day that you are comfortable with. Make sure they have been fed and that they are contented in clean nappies and then off you go. Babies love being out side and settle much better on the move in their buggies. I used to put my son in the buggy when he was having a "I'm going to scream all day phase" He soon stopped screaming and would just gaze around him and finally fall asleep. I would walk for miles until he was sound asleep then I would push him into the back garden and cover him up warm and let him sleep outside, in front the window, whilst I had a crafty cup of tea.
If you feel well enough to go out with a double buggy then go!
