I have boy/girl twins that will be turning one in two months and I have no idea what to do for their birthday. I went to go shopping and could not decide on what to do.

Mine just turned one B/G and we did Thing One and Thing Two from Dr. Seuss. I bought white onesies and cut circles out of red felt saying Thing One and Thing Two and glued them to the onesies...I also put the circles on the back of the onesies with their names on the felt. We did strawberry cupcakes with real blueberries on top and strawberry shortcake with blueberries. Instead of punch I used 2 glass pitchers one with red juice and one with blue juice. For decor I cut out several felt circles and painted then with sayings that matched the twins personalities and put them on the food and present table...Sounds expensive but I probably spent $50.00, including two Dr. Seuss books....And for party favors I put cut up Twizzlers in very small zip bags and tied them with a blue ribbon. It was a good time!

I have boy/girl twins and for their first what I did was HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY...nothing pink or blue just neutral. They are not going to remember anyway. The first birthday is more for us parents to watch them eat their cake and mark their special day.

We ended up going with a cupcake theme because there are both blue and pink cupcakes. I can't wait until the kids are old enough to tell me what they want.

If you google twins first birthday a couple of really cute things come up. There's a cute peas in a pod theme- http://www.simplybirthdaystuff.com/twtwo...
Sesame street is also a good idea or Pooh. I have twin boys who are turning one in April and I didn't like any of the boy themes so we're doing a bright bold color theme. Bright red, yellow, and green everything and the invites have those colors in polka dots.

I have boy/girl twins and thought about doing a Noah's Ark theme. We aren't especially religious but I thought the "two by two" thing would be cute.

Do they like sesame street? Have a sesame street themed party...at that age they aren't real social yet, so its not really that a friends party, its about you and or family celebrating it and watching them eat a whole piece of bday cake by themselves! Its a great excuse to gather don't you think?
