i loved being pregnant! i never got too big but i did get put on bed rest at 5months! they ll come out sooner or later and then itll be double the work since you have other kids so keep them in and enjoy it for now while you can!!!

Well this is my 4th pregnancy and so far i am enjoying it - i am only 17 weeks thou so maybe that will change. I have not been very sick this time around and so far my blood pressure is good (those have been the main problems in my previous pregnancies). I am however more tired than i have ever been in my entire life and i am not enjoying that. I also feel like a whale and i still have a fairly long way to go so that is going to get a lot worse. Starting to feel the babies move and that is SO wonderful and definately makes up for some of the down points so far :)

I am pregnant with twins also right now. I am only 10 weeks and its pretty bad, I am nasueas 24/7 literally... It's way worse with twins because with my single pregnancy I had none of these problems.. I just only hope it gets better as you progress

i am 24 weeks pregnant with twins and it is hard!!! it seems everyone who has has single pregnancies dosent understand. I feel so negative all the time. my back hurts so bad, bad carpal tunnel, heartburn , pressure when walking, have to pee every 5 minutes, cant sleep and etc. i know its Gods will i am carring twins. I just pray i can make it through!

Yes, I had bad sciatica. But I really enjoyed being pregnant with twins. Although this was my first and so far only pregnancy. I think too that it sounds like you are very busy. You have to other children. You probably don't have the same amount of time to rest as I did. And that is very important. Maybe you should have a day or two to yourself. Maybe someone could take the kids for you?

omg yes. i was okay up until i hit the 3mth mark when i started getting alot of pain in the pelvic area as well as across my stomach. as for walking that was also impossible at the end just four or five steps and that was it. i would tire out very quickly i found sleeping on my side the most comfortable as for sitting i would get up just about every five min. so it's not just you , being preggy with twins is very exhausting not saying single pregnancies aren't either. any way good luck and make sure you get plenty of rest when your bubs arrive and take all the help that is offered. kylie

I was sick the entire time if not with one thing then another and no worries not being able to move the hippo belly around is not weird, just the extra 65 pounds ...yeiii.... hang in there.. Gold is at the end of the rainbow :o) .... do recommend Palmers coconut butter/lotion/ oil all of the above for the skin... worked wonders! if you haven't already ...start now and keep on rubbing like mad until your due date ... :o) best wishes

My first pregnancy was twin girls. I had my girls at 36wks and I didnt get all that big. When I would tell people that I was having twins,they were like 'really"!? My girls weighed 3lbs3oz and 2lbs12oz. We were in the hospital for 2 1/2wks so they can put some weight on b4 we left. I got lucky I never got morning sickness, barely felt sick to my stomach. I couldn't stand the smell/taste of fish and garlic. My girls are now 16mth old. One weighs 17lbs and the other 16lbs. The doctors are trying to figure out why they really havent gained any weight. People keep telling me as long as they are happy,I got nothing to worry about. Their development hasn't suffered. Both are walking,cutting teeth like crazy and are happy (except for when they get into trouble).

My pregnancy with twins was my first, so I am not sure what it is like to carry just one. I was very uncomfortable and had lots of back and leg pain, as well as lots of swelling, so I did not enjoy being pregnant much at all, so you are not alone!!!

I have just started gettig heartburn in the afternoons which is pretty bad and am now getting to the point where I can't touch my toes or get up of the floor when I'm playing with my 2yr, it is so not nice to see I've been told by my 12yr, lol. But I do enjoy the movements, twice the omount of kicking looks cool its just when they start kicking each other that it gets a bit uncomfortable as the are constant and don't stop for a few mins, lol. But I can't wait to hold, feed and play with them when there born and am hoping too that they stay in for al long as possible.

OMG, I feel your pain! I was pregnant with identical twin boys and had a really hard time. At 18 weeks I suffered from kidney stones, so painful, and was in the hospital for 3 days. I had to sleep sitting up and couldn't even drink milk without getting gnarly heartburn. I had really bad siatica as well and terrible dizzy spells. At 30 weeks I went into premature labor. I was already on modified bedrest because of my placenta previa, but after that scare I was on strict bedrest for 2 months, which for me was the worst thing that could happen. I need to be busy or I go crazy. My boys came at 35 weeks, thank god, and they are healthy and happy. That siatica pain is no joke, you can't move, you can't talk cause the pain is so bad. Have you tried sleeping in a recliner or a body pillow? both really helped. It will get better. I was so relieved when my boys were born and now I'm the happiest woman in the world :) Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

Im 22 weeks pregnant with twin boys and I must tell you its different than carrying one baby.My oldest is 7 and she was a breeze to carry lol.I have this nasty rash that just developed,gassy,back pain,braxton hicks contractions(since 13 weeks)I had to have a cerclage to hold them in as long as possible.I have gained 40 pounds so far,cant sleep at night...however even with all that its so worth it to feel them move.I want them to stay as long as possible.Im also taking p17 shots to prevent preterm labor.

I had TRIPLETS and loved being pregnant as it took us a very long time to conceive. But I puked every day and was on bed rest off and on for the last 2 months. I only gained 40 lbs but am only 5 feet tall and my pre-preg wait was 100 lbs Needless to say I was very large. and yeah I was uncomfortable but it is so worth it .My babies were born natually at 31 weeks and spent 2 months in the hospital NICU. That was 35 years ago!! Things have changed a llot since then!!

I Had b/g twins at 38 weeks and a healthy pregnancy but did NOT have two other kids. I kept my feet high when I wasn't standing and wore that belly bra which helped. I got body work that made more space for the babies higher up so they didn't crowd down low and make it heavier than it already is. I had nothing to compare the pregnancy like you do. It isn't just you. My first pregnancy with my son was great. I didn't get too big. I was walking on the treadmill 2 miles each day up until the day I had him. I loved it. Everyhing changed with my twin pregnancy. It was really tough. I couldn't do any type of exercise after about 12 weeks. I was so uncomfortable. I had major pain In the veins of my legs. One thing to know is you can take a sleeping aid during pregnancy. Talk to your doc about it.

I threw up daily, had never ending heartburn that even an acid reducer didn't help, there was no comfortable position to sit, stand, or lay down, and all of my clothes bugged me so when I was at home I wore a bed sheet AKA toga LOL! The only part I loved was feeling and seeing them moving around in my belly. Hang in there - you will get through it and just think of the double smiles and double giggles you'll get to enjoy in the future. :)

I have an 8 year old boy and 3monty old twin boys. with the 8 year old I had some morning sicknes for 3 months and than was fine. with the twins I had horrible morning sickness for about 5 months (throwing up and all) and horrible headaches. I went for 35 weeks because by week 32 I had developed preeclampsia and was put on bedrest! It was hard, and yes my stomach was very heavy even though I gainned 1/2 the weight than with my singleton!! Its not fun, but hey once youve gone through this you can do it all!!! Hang in there :+)

I was on bed rest the entire pregnancy. I ended up in the hospital on bed rest from 24 weeks to 30 weeks. They were delivered at 30 weeks through c-section.

Honestly, the pregnancy wasn't that bad. It was super uncomfortable though. But it was well worth it. The worst part was the cravings.

I had terrible "morning sickness" my whole pregnancy and actually lost weight with my twins. I weighed less the morning before they were born, than I did before I got pregnant. Even though it was a miserable time for me, it was well worth it.

i am 33 weeks pregnant with b/g twins and ive been misreable so its not just you.. ive been on bedrest for the last 2 weeks and have gestational diabetes which i now have the fun of having to take insulin for.. been having lots of contractions and have a very strong feeling im going to be lucky if i can make it 2 more weeks with these babies.. the siatica has been horrible since about week 20 for me.. i talked to my ob and she filled out the paper so i could have a temporary disability parking pass for the rest of the pregnancy.. it makes things a little easier but i can safely say i am looking forward to delivering these babies and not being pregnant anymore..



it will all be worth it in the end when we are holding our new little angels.. just hang in there and if you wanna chat or vent let me know.. good luck and take it easy ..

Hang in there. I had a b/g and went up to 38 weeks and had them naturally. It was my first pregnancy and I was miserable for most of the time. I was excited about the babies but I simply just did not feel well. It was draining, tiring, I could not find a comfortable position to sleep and they were pressing against my lungs at night. I got so desperate I actually went to the hospital begging for a c-section, and the doctor said no, to just wait. Well, I did and I carried two full term healthy babies (Kyle & Kylie) who both weighed 6.2 and 6.1 lbs. In the end, all the discomfort is worth it. Just hang in there and try your best to RELAX when possible. Remember your "ME" time and use it. I heard swimming helps relieve some of the weight on your body and is good for you. Good luck :)

Hated what it put my body through. Had a 2 year old to take care of too. Morning sickness all the way through needed pills for that, and they had TTTS I had to have surgery at 21 weeks to save their lives. The surgery worked and after that staying pregnant was the most important thing to me and I sucked up every other horrible thing that went along with it. Made it to 36 weeks. It is all worth it.

I was pretty tired of course, but I had them at 25 weeks so I really can't compare. I found my next pregnancy pretty tiring too, and I had a lot more pelvic and hip pain, etc. but didn't help that I had twin toddlers (under 2) to deal with. I hope you get some relief, but know that every extra day you can hold them in is good for them (even if not for you).

i feel yr pain! at 6.5 months pregnant i was the same size i was when i was 9 months with my first! i needed 7 pillows in bed with me just to get comfy and needed help to get up everytime i sat down. STAY AWAY FROM BEAN BAGS!!!!
my twin girls came only 3 weeks early and was so thankful when they were finally out! i am now convinced the human body was never built for more than 1 baby at a time. good luck with it all, and remember its only short term in the grand scheme of things :)

Lordy. I HATED being pregnant with twins. I puked every day for 7.5 months. Ugh. I highly recommend going to a swimming pool to help with the sciatica and the heavy belly. Your back will feel fabulous because the water will take the weight of your belly. It realy is wonderful.

I didn't have a "bad " pregnancy, but after 20 weeks it became difficult to walk long distances without stopping and resting, I didn't look pregnant with twins, they were hitching a ride in my ribcage. I swam alot in the first and second trimester.. But after a while I was too tired. I worked until two weeks before delivery.. delivered at 36 wks, B/G 5.1 and 4.4. The worst for me was the heartburn, gas and hiccups... but loved to feel them move. I will never forget that feeling.

i know the feeling girl. i had a son under 2 when i got pregnant with twins. they missed them being twins for the first 20 wks and then they were 6 wks early. i cried for weeks cause i only wanted two kids...not two at once. and then i cried cause they were all boys, i wanted a girl so bad i couldnt stand it...it is hard. you will get bigger, you back will hurt worse and you have all these worries about the overwhelming doubt about caring for two babies at once...but it does work out. it will be over soon and then all the fears about twins will be gone. it isnt as hard as people make it out to be...good luck...i wouldnt trade my boys for anything in the world...

I had two single pregnacies before mine with twins. I can tell you being pregnant with twins was horrible. I would go to work come home, sleep all evening then not be able to sleep during the night. I had carpale tunnel in which I still have three years later, by siatic hurt, and I would go numb after being in one position too long. I only gained 17 pounds because I was constantly said. That said I had to deliver at 32 weeks due to preclampsia but the boys were both healthy for being so small and only had to stay in the NICU three weeks until they could feed from a bottle. Love having the twins now but not so much the pregnancy.

I have twin girls that are 5 and twin boys that are 3. My first twin pregnancy was realy hard. I was realy sick and had many complications. My second twin pregnancy was better but still very hard on my body. Good Luck!

I went to 39 weeks and i was glad for them to be born was so uncomftable and could'nt walk my tummy was so big i even fell down the stairs cause i could'nt see and also went flying on the pavement ,i also could'nt sleep and i had a 3 year old at the time so was tired alot.

I have 10 month old twin boys... Severe morning sickness from week 6 onwards. I was hospitalized for that, and took nausea pills up until they were born. Dehydration, couldn't gain weight, yet I was too huge to move. I had preterm labour and ended up on bedrest from 33 weeks onwards... More time in the hospital! I had bad pre-ecclampsia and was induced at 36 weeks. After a touch-and-go labour, my boys were born healthy at 5.5-ish lbs each (2300 g and 2600 g).

On the bright side, when people tell you that you should rest now, because "better in than out" you can smile and remember that it's so much better when they are born! I'd much prefer to be awake cuddling a tiny baby or two, then awake because one baby is sitting on my bladder, and one has a foot shoved under my ribcage!

No, honey you are not alone. My b/g twins are now 16 months and I also have a 5 yr old and pregnant right now with a singleton. Thank God. It was horrible carrying the twins. I knew before they even did an ultrasound that I was having twins because as you know yourself that it is very much different than carrying 1 baby. I couldn't sleep, walk for a very long time like you or do simple things around the house. I was so huge with both of my pregnancies that I had to have help getting dressed sometimes. It was embarrassing, even though it was my husband helping me. My twins were 6.12 and 6.15 in their weight size when born and my 5 yr old was 7.12 I had some pretty good size babies.
A tip though to help you sleep a little better I have a mountain of pillows behind me because when I am pregnant I can not lay on my side know matter what the doctor says. you don't have the pressure of the babies when you are propped up sleeping. I also use a body pillow for when I do want to lay on my side for a little while I put part of it between my legs and the top part under my belly. Helps keep pressure off of your bladder when you put it between your legs and protects your baby's under belly so you don't try to completely roll over on your stomach. As for sitting use a comfortable chair to where you can also prop your feet up or even have the couch designate a spot just for you and but your feet up on the couch with a few pillows under your feet this will help tremendously. Even if you are in a chair I would recommend doing the pillows for extra elevation. I would even put pillows under my knees when I sleep it helps with the pulling on the bottom of you belly your husband might only have 1 pillow to sleep with but at least your comfortable till the twins get here. LoL some nights my husband didn't even have 1 but he was a trooper. LoL he knew how miserable I was.

You are not alone...
34 weeks pregnant with g/g twins. Started showing at 10 weeks, sick since week 8 to 16, then acid reflux, then pucking because of the reflux...everything hurts, my back is a mess, is hard to walk, to sleep, to move, even breath is hard. I'm 5'2" and 100 lbs pre preg. My girls still measure like 2 singletons...I'm SOOOOOO done with being pregnant...can't sleep much at night because of the heartburn, or I woke up every 2-3 hours...
I have so much water retention that sometimes is hard to walk.
This is also my first (and last) pregnancy but I can't remember a moment when I enjoyed it.

You can pretty much expect not to do much of anything from now onwards until the birth. It even becomes a mission to turn around in bed without actually holding your tummy and turning it with you and just walking to the loo seems a dawnting task. Hang in there, they are worth it once they are born!

I do want them to cook for as long as possible its just really hard on the body which makes it hard on the mind too.

Sorry your having a tough time. I have 1 year old twin boys, they are my only pregnancy. I have to tell you, it was amazing! I did have pain in my wrists, but nothing more. I had a wonderful pregnancy, I worked up until 36 weeks. My doctor put me on bed rest because I had an ultrasound that said one baby was 1 lb. smaller. A week later they did another ultrasound and we found out the tech was wrong. I was induced at 38 weeks, had two healthy 6 lb 14oz and 6lb 3oz babies. They were absolutely perfect!!! I would do it all over again. Good luck to you!
